Suicide of disgruntled employee? Bus fire at Kerzers / Chiètres, Switzerland, at least six dead

News reports have appeared about a bus catching fire in Kerzers, Switzerland, which is also known as Chiètres in French. Reports suggest one person doused himself in fire. Police confirm it was deliberate and they say it is not a terrorist. The possibility that remains for us to contemplate is that it was somebody who has been humiliated by their employer or the jurists in a tribunal.

This web site has gone to great lengths to reveal the extent to which jurists take money from people and then fail to provide any solution to the needs of their clients. In many cases, the jurists make disputes even worse in the hope that parties on both sides of the dispute, or their insurers, will end up paying even more legal fees.

When employers make somebody redundant in Switzerland, they normally have to give the workers three to six months notice or a lump sum payment, sometimes both. To avoid making these payments, some employers and some of the agencies responsible for contract employees will try to blame one of the workers. Many of these disputes are settled by a tribunal. Both the employer and employee want to save face and so the judgments are kept totally secret.

There are parallel cases in Germany. Galia Mancheva's abuse report describes her experience of taking the FSFE misfits to an employment tribunal. The tribunal forced her to listen to lies from the men and then they humiliated her by telling her she can't have justice because she had been in the job for less than twelve months.

Due to the JuristGate scandal, when the illegal legal fees insurance scheme vanished overnight, up to 20,000 clients suddenly found themselves without a lawyer. Some of those people were in the middle of legal disputes with employers or employees. Some of those disputes involve sensitive matters, such as accusations of sexual impropriety and employee illness. FINMA has not made any comment on how these case files were protected or compromised. Matthieu Parreaux, the founder of the rogue firm, suggested that all the case files have fallen into the hands of other lawyers.

When we began examining the Adrian von Bidder death in Basel, where his wife subsequently became the mayor, we looked at a petition to the Basel Kanton about the way they are hiding the number of suicides and the reasons for them. We were shocked to find the name A. von Bidder on the petition shortly before Adrian von Bidder-Senn died at age 32. No official reasons have been given. The only fact we know is that he died eight months after the Debian Day volunteer suicide and people discussed it like a copy-cat suicide. Nonetheless, if Debianism was not the only influence in his death, we need to start asking if he had simultaneously been the victim of rogue employment practices or incompetence by jurists.

As noted in the Basel Kanton suicide petition, many of these cases involve total secrecy and the employment tribunals also operate in secrecy. From time to time, news reports appear about cases where multiple people are attacked or killed, for example, a chainsaw attack at the office of CSS insurance in Kanton Schaffhausen. I went to some detail to explain the incompetence, corruption and racism we encountered when somebody fell on Carla at a Zurich yoga studio and the people at the accident insurance spent two years giving us excuses.

Police confirm the Postbus fire occurred deliberately. It happened at peak hour when the bus had the maximum number of passengers. The victim chose to die in a Postbus. These buses are iconic of Swiss rural life and the tourism industry. Did the victim of this suicide intend to send some kind of signal, like the distinctive three-tone horn of the bus itself?

Will the victims of this tragedy spend two years waiting for an answer or will they never get answers at all?

JuristGate is for sale: three billion Swiss francs for a domain name

When the share price of Credit Suisse, one of Switzerland's two top banks, went into its death spiral, the Swiss authorities had some discussions among themselves and the inevitable result of that discussion was the sale of Credit Suisse to their main rival, UBS.

The public were told that UBS had offered three billion Swiss francs to compensate the shareholders of Credit Suisse for their shares. Some people were sceptical about the method used to reach this valuation. Nonetheless, it was important for Swiss national pride.

When writing the reports on the JuristGate web site, I've attempted to operate with the highest level of accuracy and integrity. Nonetheless, everybody has their price. If somebody offered me three billion Swiss francs for the domain then I would probably do like Urban Angehrn and Birgit Rutishauser and take a lengthy garden leave.

In the meantime, to make up for the wayward support from Swiss legal insurance I've started a crowdfunding campaign to resolve one of the disputes relating to Debian. This is vital because we all do a lot of work for Debian and we are all entitled to equal recognition.

In a previous blog, I looked at the prompt and efficient manner in which Bernice is undertaking enforcement action to protect the public from rogue health practitioners in the State of Victoria.

Bernice generated a lot of news stories when she banned a social media influencer, Emily Lal, who promoted herself as The Authentic Birthkeeper. Lal had promoted wild birthing. A number of mothers and babies have died around the world when following the advice of social media influencers.

I don't know how much Bernice gets paid but I found a job vacancy for her deputy. The salary is in the range up to $290,000 per year. That is approximately CHF 160,000 Swiss francs.

As Bernice is a nurse and keyworkers never get paid what they are really worth I'm guessing her salary is not too much bigger than that.

The FINMA annual reports reveal the salaries for the CEO and executive team. Urban Angehrn's salary was CHF 602,000. It looks like FINMA pays their CEO three or four times what the State of Victoria pays Bernice.

We can compare their performance and see how many banning orders each of them has published:

FINMA (Swiss financial regulator) banning orders: they published 24 bans between 2018 and 2025. Some bans are not reported publicly.

Health Complaints Commissioner (Victoria) banning orders: Bernice has personally signed over 100 interim or permanent bans since taking office in July 2022.

This was Urban Angehrn's payout, CHF 581,000, when he resigned at the same time that FINMA published their anonymous decision about Parreaux, Thiebaud & Partners. Clients/victims were offered nothing.

MIT DEDP MicroMasters online learner's blog post about cover-up linked to resignation of Swiss financial regulator

MIT's DEDP MicroMasters is about Data, Economics and Development Policy. It was recently renamed, Data Economics & Design of Policy although the focus remains on developing countries, not rich countries like Switzerland. From time to time, I've seen people asking what a MicroMasters certificate is really worth. Ironically, that would be a great question for an MIT economist to answer.

In one of the modules, 14.750x Political Economy, Prof Ben Olken begins by asking the online learners to read papers Hit or Miss? The Effect of Assassinations on Institutions and War and Do leaders matter? National leadership and growth since world war II. The above average rate of assassinations for people with this job category is used to give us insights. There is nothing in the paper about leaders kidnapped by President Trump. Trump himself was nearly assassinated before his own return to office. The paper is available online.

In earlier blogs, we were able to prove the anonymous document on the FINMA web site relates to Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, Switzerland's "Law Firm X". From there, we were able to prove that FINMA, the regulatory authority knew about it for some years and the Geneva bar association also seemed to know for a long time.

In the world of abuse, it seems that priests knew some of their colleagues were paedophiles but they have a code of conduct, the Crimen Sollicitationis which prevented priests from warning the public about their own colleagues. The Swiss jurists from the bar association and officials from FINMA appeared to be operating from the same playbook. Those who knew about the scandal didn't tell the clients. They put the reputation of their profession and the privacy of rogue colleagues ahead of the interests of public safety and justice.

We then went the next step, showing that FINMA participated in a cover-up. Reports on this web site meticulously reverse-engineering their cover-up tactics.

From the moment the illegal legal insurance launched in 2018, Birgit Rutishauser had been head of FINMA's surveillance of the insurance industry.

Rutishauser is a graduate of ETH Zurich. Many of the attacks on my family revolve around the death of Adrian von Bidder-Senn on our wedding day. He was also an ETH Zurich graduate like Rutishauser. Just as the priests and the jurists have sought to maintain strict silence about the wrongdoing of colleagues, it seems the ETH Zurich alumni are maintaining silence. After all, Adrian von Bidder-Senn's wife obtained a PhD in cybersecurity from the same institution but looking at the last email she sent to the Debianists, we can see that Dr Diana von Bidder-Senn failed to realize the extent to which her husband was a victim of social engineering. Dr von Bidder-Senn is now the mayor of Basel.

When Rutishauser was appointed in 2018, FINMA published the following comments about her background:

The 46-year-old mathematician and actuary has managed the Risk Management section of the Insurance division since June 2016. Prior to joining FINMA, Birgit Rutishauser spent many years working in a variety of management roles within the insurance sector, most recently as Chief Underwriting & Risk Management Officer at Nationale Suisse and, as such, a member of the Group Executive Management Board. Birgit Rutishauser is a Swiss citizen.

Rutishauser had also worked for Zurich insurance, the same company where Urban Angehrn had worked prior to joining FINMA.

By comparison, I am a holder of the MIT MicroMasters diploma in Data, Economics & Development Policy (DEDP). Well, I also worked for a few banks too. UBS in Zurich provided a reference letter:

The rumours about mental illness were obviously falsified. Nonetheless, it is important to remember they started falsifying these things at a time when I lost two family members. Is it an example of cybertorture or is it simply an example of how rude these people are after spending too much time in social control media?

Is it possible that a mentally ill fake developer with a MicroMasters was able to write a blog post that brought down the Deputy CEO of the Swiss financial market regulator?

Rather than finding me to be insane, Switzerland granted me citizenship in the Canton of Vaud in November 2023:

Early 2024, I came across a photo of Switzerland's attorney general visiting his peers at the Parquet National Financier in Paris, France to talk about cross-border crime. The illegal legal insurance was an example of cross-border crime because they recruited people from France to work for them and they promoted the insurance to French residents.

The meeting and photo has since been removed from the PNF web site but it can be found in the Wayback Machine.

I wrote to the PNF and sent them some of the documents. This was their reply:

The PNF, like me, suspects that a crime was committed under French law but for technical reasons, they require a French citizen to bring a formal complaint to a local prosecutor first. The law in France would see me as a witness to the crime.

Later in 2024, I acquired the domain name www.michaelmcgrath.ie, that is the former domain name of Michael McGrath, the EU Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection.

I used the EU Justice Commissioner's former domain name to publish information about the cross-border crime from the Swiss jurists.

The blogs published between January and March 2025 continue to build the case that FINMA not only knew about the illegal legal insurance but they also had a role in the cover-up.

The blog published on 8 March 2025, International Women's Day, considered the case of a French woman who was tricked to quit the job she had for seven years and come to work for the Swiss jurists in Geneva selling illegal legal insurance.

On 27 March 2025, I was discussing the case with an expert in Paris at the same time the BBC was interviewing former Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby about the cover-up of their jurist John Smyth QC. In the meeting in Paris, I was asked if there was a link between the paedophiles and the jurists. The BBC's report only appeared after the meeting and it prompted me to write a new blog post about the culture of cover-ups.

When famed whistleblower Trevor Kitchen exposed the Forex scandal, he didn't go as far as comparing anybody to a paedophile, nonetheless, they had him arrested in Portugal and tried to have him extradited back to Switzerland for criminal speech.

Mr Kitchen, who worked as a financial controller for companies including Shell, Castrol and Black and Decker, lost his 700,000 franc pension due to the rigged currency fluctuations.

“Because I had specialised in finance all my life understanding policies and procedures in companies, I went and reported this to all the regulators,” he said.

Toby Cadman, head and co-founder of Guernica 37 International Justice Chambers, who is working pro bono for Mr Kitchen, said: “If he was in the UK, this would not even get past the issuing of a warrant, let alone the extradition process.

He was arrested by Portuguese police on January 19 and taken for questioning. “It was all maximum security stuff. Six policemen were around me and took me into a small room and told me to take all my clothes off. They threw me in prison for 48 hours all because of the words I used,” he said.

The Swiss embassy has been contacted for comment.

Yet Swiss authorities have made no such move against me. Without admitting or denying any of the allegations on this web site, Birgit Rutishauser's resignation was announced on 1 April 2025, barely two days after the strongest blog post about the complicity of the authorities in the cover-up.

First of all, FINMA published a notice about Rutishauser's resignation.

The same day, FINMA published a longer notice about their restructuring. The notice included a paragraph emphasizing that Birgit Rutishauser's departure was not part of the restructuring. In other words, there is some other specific reason she has chosen to tender her resignation and they are not going to give us any more detail about it.

FINMA adapts its organisation to meet future challenges

Independently of the introduction of the new organisational structure, Birgit Rutishauser, member of the Executive Board, Deputy CEO and Head of the Insurance division, has decided to leave FINMA. Vera Carspecken will assume the leadership of the Insurance division on an interim basis from 1 May 2025 (see separate press release of 1 April 2025).

Somebody with so many years of service would normally be entitled to three months of notice period. The abrupt departure of Martin Senn from Zurich insurance was referred to as a factor in his suicide. However, it is also possible that Rutishauser was placed on an extended period of garden leave to prevent her from immediately being able to use confidential information she has acquired in the course of her duties.

Rutishauser's LinkedIn profile tells us she is now at StenFo, that is the fund for a Swiss nuclear dump.

All the waste from five decades of Swiss nuclear programs is currently stored in a temporary facility at Zwilag. If they ever try to build a permanent underground storage facility there will be a referendum to stop it. It just sits in the temporary facility for the time being:

President Putin frequently reminds the world about nuclear punishments. What we see here is the power of nuclear teamwork.

Fifty percent of Swiss nuclear fuel comes from Russia, twenty five percent from Canada and twenty five percent was mined in Australia, where I was born.

After leaving her post as second in command at FINMA, head of the insurance division, Rutishauser enrolled at IMD, a well known Swiss business school, where she was awarded a certificate in blockchain.

While there are some companies doing completely legitimate projects with blockchain, it is ironic that the scammers who had been allowed to operate for years under FINMA have also pursued a new career path promoting cryptocurrency "investment" to victims in France.

I started the Software Freedom Institute in May 2021 in the middle of the pandemic. Many people were not working at all. I could have chosen not to work and claimed furlough payments from the government. Instead, by working, I was paying tax and contributing money to the social security system to support the rest of society.

I purchased and paid for various insurance services to protect the business. Invoices for Parreaux, Thiebaud & Partners legal services. When IBM Red Hat attacked my business, the Swiss legal protection did nothing to help. The ADR Forum legal panel eventually gave a ruling against IBM Red Hat, declaring that I was a victim of harassment from a much larger company/competitor.

Likewise, after the conviction of Cardinal George Pell, rogue Debianists attacked my family with rumours about abuse and they attacked us again after I founded the Software Freedom Institute. The Swiss jurists did nothing to help. I went to Italy by myself to speak to the Carabinieri and after years of inquiries, the Cardinal died four hours after I filed a report about exploitation. Despite Switzerland's reputation for privacy, the Swiss jurists provided no help whatsoever to protect my family and I from these intrusions.

Justin Welby had to resign as Archbishop of Canterbury due to his failure to take action against the paedophile jurist John Smyth QC. On 30 March 2025, we published the comparison of Church of England, Crimen Sollicitationis and the cover-up at FINMA and barely two days later, Rutishauser's resignation was announced.

As it is Switzerland, nobody is holding their breath waiting for authorities to confirm the Deputy CEO of FINMA resigned because of the cover-up disclosed in the JuristGate reports. However, we can now try to answer the question we started with, what is the real value of the DEDP MicroMasters from MIT? Priceless.

Judge Richard Oulevey (Grandcour Choeur, Tribunal Vaud) & Debian shaming abuse victims and witnesses

In 2021, a court in Poland convicted a paedophile and sent him to prison. The paedophile was described as a regional activist for the Civic Platform (PO) political party. When convicting the paedophile, the court made orders that his identity and conviction could not be published as it would compromise the privacy of the victims. The victims were the children of a politician from the same party as the offender.

Radio Szczecin is a public broadcaster under control of the right-wing party ruling in Poland. In December 2022, Radio Szczecin made a broadcast alleging that a cover-up had taken place. In the broadcast, they informed the audience that the victims were "the children of a well-known lawmaker", the very fact the judge had sought to protect.

After that, it wasn't long before people were able to identify the victims.

A few weeks later, one of the victims committed suicide.

In 2017, when I discovered evidence that diversity funding from open source software organizations had enabled wrongdoing in Albania, I told some of the women that I was watching these matters carefully. To show some empathy, I mentioned to the women the fact one of my cousins had received the choir scholarship at St Kevin's College, Toorak at the same time the late Cardinal Pell was the Archbishop of Melbourne. The choir scholarships are worth approximately three hundred thousand Australian dollars. Like the Outreachy internships, the scholarship has significant financial value and being a part of the St Kevin's community opens doors for people.

This is the point where the legal and ethical competance diverged significantly.

Cardinal Pell was convicted on 11 December 2018 and a few days later, on Christmas Eve, rogue Debianists used the debian-private whisper network to spread rumours about abuse. In fact, I've never even specified whether one of my cousins is the same person who made the complaint. There were hundreds of boys in the choir over the years.

By creating hysteria, they were following in the footsteps of Radio Szczecin. In the case of Debianism, it is even worse. One of the people spreading rumours about abuse, Joerg Jaspert, was elected as a parent representative for Dalbergschule school council in Fulda, Germany. If he is unable to handle private information about children then he is totally unsuitable for that position in a school.

The hysteria has identified a number of possible abuse victims in open source software communities and as long as they persist, they are forcing people to point to possible evidence that may identify people. They already forced public attention on the sixteen-year-old victims from Albania. Instead of learning from that mistake, they demanded more public shaming. Here is one of their legal documents where they demand a public humiliation of my family:

Yet look at the irony. The judge assigned to manage the case, Richard Oulevey, is also the president of a choir. The Grandcour Men's Choir, based in the Canton of Vaud, celebrated their 125th anniversary recently.

After the Pell prosecution, media reports went to great lengths to conceal the identities of choir members. Photos were published with all the faces obfuscated:

In Poland, the judge realized that the prosecution could lead to the identification of abuse victims and he ordered total secrecy about the identity of the offender. Exactly the same rules are used to impose secrecy in cases of incest and cases involving small villages, whether they occur in Poland, in Australia or in Switzerland. A recent example was the prosecution of a bakery owner in South Australia. During the 1980s, the baker/father recruited underage girls to live and work in a cult-like arrangement leading to pregnancies. Three babies were born within a period of seven months.

The case created enormous media interest but none of the news reports are able to publish the name of the village, the name of the business or the names of the people convicted. In other words, they are hiding the name of the paedophile to protect the identities of his thirteen children.

We have seen echoes of this behaviour in the open source software communities. The cases in Albania were not the only ones.

Look at how Debianists and the Outreachy program offer financial incentives to young transgender people, even in a voluntary environment where nobody else is allowed to receive payment.

Its time to hold a mirror up to the rogue Debianists themselves. Look at the case of Pauline Pommeret, who came from an elite high school to be groomed/indoctrinated in the Debian love nest at ENS Cachan / CRANS.

Pommeret eventually came and asked for Outreachy money, which is approximately double the amount of money offered to an ordinary male intern of the same age and experience level.

If judges in other jurisdictions have gone to great lengths to protect the privacy of people in proximity to abuse cases, why do the jurists and judges in Switzerland & Debian want to publicly identify and humiliate people?

Another one of the protagonists in the case is Axel Beckert from the university ETH Zurich university. How can these people be competant to handle private complaints from students when their first reaction is to take out their mobile phone and make a public statement about everything?

Debianists spent over $120,000 on legal fees to censor blogs like this but getting a gay judge with a transgender sister would be priceless. Or just more conflicts of interest.

Did judge with transgender sister & Debian conflict of interest help cover-up a death?

Most of the correspondance concerning the Debianism vendetta in the canton of Vaud was signed by Judge Richard Oulevey of the PLR Liberal Radical Party.

Did he have a conflict of interest?

One of the key issues in the Debianism dispute was the attempt to trick me to mentor Nicolas Dandrimont's partner. It appears that the partner of Dandrimont may be a transgender and the sister of Judge Oulevey is also a transgender, Zoé Frédérique Oulevey. By coincidence, Zoé is head of R&I Intellectual Property at Richemont.

The presence of multiple transgenders is significant. These people don't simply dress up as women. They want to know what it feels like to live like a woman and for some of them, they crave manipulating the protective instincts in other men. Just as they go to great effort with cosmetic surgery, they also spend a lot of effort practicing the victim routine. There are whole associations and web sites dedicated to the victimhood. They focus on how to be believed rather than how to be honest. It is hard and sometimes impossible to tell when these people are reporting a real case of harassment and when they are just role-playing victimhood.

One of the cyberbullies who started the legal harassment, which is called "abuse of process" if you'll excuse the pun, is Axel Beckert, who is the gay partner of a former colleague. It appears that Judge Richard Oulevey does not have a spouse. For those who know the extent to which LGBT vendettas have hurt healthy people around Debian, it is a disturbing thought but also quite rude to speculate without any other evidence that Debian somehow spent all that money to get a gay judge. The judge has not revealed anything about his love life or the extent to which all these people are mingling bodily fluids on the Swiss LGBT scene.

In Australia, Melbourne newspaper The Age published a detailed report about groups like this who work together to humiliate their victims.

How a Melbourne seminary became the breeding ground for paedophile rings

Corpus Christi was where sexually repressed men could “act out” with each other, living double lives, then transfer their attentions to the most innocent in their flocks.

Fells alleges that he was the victim of a group of priests who formed part of a network of paedophiles coalescing around Corpus Christi in the mid-1970s. His first abuser was St Peter’s Clayton parish priest Ronald Pickering, who Fells claims molested him after a Sunday mass in the parish presbytery. A known paedophile, Pickering fled to England in 1993 after the Melbourne Archdiocese informed him about a victim’s complaint.

“Pickering got me first, then Vears, and then Ryan,” alleges Fells, who tried to take his own life after the seminary incident and still suffers from post-traumatic stress.

“They got me all right.”

Amnesty International published a report about the Swiss police using violence to "arrest" and sexually abuse Trevor Kitchen for his reports about financial corruption.

Trevor Kitchen, a 41-year-old British citizen resident in Switzerland, was arrested by police in Chiasso (canton of Ticino) on the morning of 25 December 1992 in connection with offences of defamation and insults against private individuals. In a letter addressed to the Head of the Federal Department of Justice and Police in Berne and to the Tribunal in Bellinzona (Ticino) on 3 June 1993 he alleged that two police officers arrested him in a bar in Chiasso and, after handcuffing him, accompanied him to their car in the street outside. They then bent him over the car and hit him around the head approximately seven times and carried out a body search during which his testicles were squeezed. He claimed he was then punched hard between the shoulder blades several times. He said he offered no resistance during the arrest.

He was then taken to a police station in Chiasso where he was questioned in Italian (a language he does not understand) and stated that during the questioning "The same policeman that arrested me came into the office to shout at me and hit me once again around the head. Another policeman forced me to remove all of my clothes. I was afraid that they would use physical force again; they continued to shout at me. The one policeman was pulling at my clothes and took my trouser belt off and removed my shoe laces. Now I stood in the middle of an office completely naked (for 10 minutes) with the door wide open and three policemen staring at me, one of the policemen put on a pair of rubber surgical gloves and instructed me to crouch into a position so that he could insert his fingers into my anus, I refused and they all became angry and started shouting and demonstrating to me the position which they wanted me to take, laughing, all were laughing, these police were having a good time. They pointed at my penis, making jokes, hurling abuse and insults at me, whilst I stood completely still and naked. Finally, when they finished laughing, one of the policemen threw my clothes onto the floor in front of me. I got dressed."

He was transferred to prison some hours later and in his letter claimed that during the night he started to experience severe pains in his chest, back and arms. He asked a prison guard if he could see a doctor but the request was refused and he claimed the guard kicked him. He was released on 30 December 1993. Medical reports indicated that since his release he had been experiencing recurrent pain in the area of his chest and right shoulder and had been receiving physiotherapy for an injury to the upper thoracic spine and his right shoulder girdle.

Debianist financial disclosures show they spent over $120,000 on legal fees. One overworked and unpaid volunteer, Abraham Raji, died at DebConf23 when they asked him to contribute his own money to the day trip.

Yet their Judge Oulevey, who got some money, admits trying to create an invalid judgment and then having to annul it:

Dare we say a group of gays, trannies and greens fathered a non-binary judgment? Or they simply fucked up?

Fundamentally, while the LGBT community celebrates Pride, the Debianists celebrate shaming people. Look at their demand to publicly denounce my family after my father died:

One of the groundbreaking reports on this web site was the comparison of Debian and Swiss cover-ups to the barrister John Smyth QC in the Church of England. From a BBC report:

Smyth was confronted about his conduct after the report compiled by Rev Mark Ruston and Rev David Fletcher.

It found Smyth identified pupils from leading public schools including Winchester College and took them to his home near Winchester in Hampshire, where he carried out lashings with a garden cane in his shed.

Smyth is said to have subjected his victims to traumatic physical, sexual, psychological and spiritual attacks, permanently marking their lives.

If you look at the way the Debianists attacked my family, they inflicted this on us and sustained these attacks ever since the death of my father. That is a level of intrusion that puts some of the rogue Debianists right up there with the paedophiles.

By chance, Judge Oulevey's father also died, giving us a list of family members. We can see that Judge Oulevey does not have a wife. As well as having the transgender sister Zoé Frédérique Oulevey, he has a brother, Xavier Oulevey who is also a jurist in the canton of Vaud. Clearly, conflicts of interest will arise every time his brother brings a case to the tribunal.

On 1 November 2023, I was granted citizenship of Switzerland in the Canton of Vaud. When I look at these dirty men attacking my family after my father died, I see the behaviour of animals, not humans. It makes me question what it means to be a citizen of Switzerland, because I can't lower myself to be an animal like these men.

Why do these dirty men go to all this trouble to humiliate my family and I? Adrian von Bidder-Senn died on our wedding day. They don't want my presence to remind them that they may have some responsibility for those deaths. They couldn't care less about pushing more people to suicide if that is the price of covering up the last suicides.

Luzern Lion Monument, Albanian Female Whistleblowers: Swiss jurists were cowards

In a previous post, we looked at how Debianists wanted to use Swiss police to find and arrest whisteblowers who use Proton Mail. As it turns out, the Swiss police had already arrested the Albanian female whisteblowers at Zurich airport in 2017.

After being released from custody, the whistleblowers visited the famous Lion monument in the city of Luzern.

In medieval times, Swiss guards were mercenaries who bravely offered protection to kings and queens in all the royal courts of Europe. Their role was similar to that of the Cuban guards assigned to protect the president of Venezuela.

Today, the only remaining Swiss guard unit protects the Pope in the Vatican. The other units were all disbanded.

The Lion monument honors 760 guards who lost their lives in the service of the French royal court. They were overrun by a much larger force, they held their ground only to be massacred during the French Revolution in 1792.

While the Swiss guards were commended for their bravery, Swiss jurists, such as those we examine on the JuristGate web site have been nothing but despicable cowards.

When the Software Freedom Institute was founded in 2021, IBM Red Hat was terrified and sent lawyerists to harass the Institute. The Institute had purchased Swiss legal protection insurance and immediately asks the Swiss jurists to help defend the Institute from IBM Red Hat. The Jurists were terrified and made up excuses, running away to hide behind the skirts of mother Helvetica:

The jurist who sent these excuses, Luc Zimmermann, is also a member of Le Centre (The Center) political party and he has a prominent role in the Geneva Municipal Council. The same political party has been linked to conflicts of interest in the prosecution of the Crans-Montana tragedy.

The Institute's director had to spend a whole Sunday preparing the response to the UDRP harassment on his own.

The legal panel ruled that the UDRP case was created for the purpose of harassing the Institute and it was an abuse of the administrative procedure.

In these circumstances, why were the Swiss jurists so cowardly?

In their marketing, they claim that no case is ever rejected.

Consider the irony: the cowardly jurists were unwilling to defend the UDRP case even though the Institute was on the right side of the law. Yet it was the jurists themselves who were usurping the reputation of the legendary Tissot boss Francois Thiébaud.

Milenium Crypto, Atreide Ventures SAS, Badra Fettache linked to Mathieu Elias Parreaux

Financial markets are undergoing rapid change at the moment and mum-and-dad investors are looking for advice and inspiration.

A Youtube channel has appeared using the name MileniumCrypto ( Youtube link) to help people. The channel publishes French language videos recorded by an anonymous male voice.

The channel has a link to a French web site, https://www.milenium-crypto.fr which links to another web site https://www.atreide-ventures.fr. That web site, in turn is associated with a French company using the name Atreide Ventures SAS (SIREN 931 427 561).

The company was founded in July 2024 using another French company, Hamilton Invest (SIREN 908 634 793) as a stooge director.

Hamilton Invest itself has a single director, Marlon (Sean) Hamilton-Bekhti, born in January 1990. Mr Hamilton-Bekhti is associated with at least seven French companies and two British companies Light Keys Conciergerie Limited and Lowlands Inc Limited. The British records at Companies House tell us he is a French citizen with a domicile in Switzerland.

There is another investment company with exactly the same name operating in Hong Kong and the Philipines. The web site https://atreidesventures.co/ has been registered since 5 October 2023. Their web site has a picture of their directors and they appear to be a completely different group of people. It looks like the French scam company has chosen to use the name of an existing business to obfuscate themselves behind the MileniumCrypto brand.

For the first nine months the business was trading, nobody sending investments to the company would have any way to know it was connected to the Parreaux community.

Approximately nine months later, in March 2025, the French Atreide Ventures SAS company removed the first stooge director Hamilton Invest and replaced it with Didier Simon René Parreaux, born January 1960.

We found him living in Thonex, Switzerland and linked to the company Hach Lange Sàrl. Here we found a photo of him. We presume he is related to Mathieu Elias Parreaux (bankrupt and banned), Hodan Parreaux-Hussein, Marla Sofia Parreaux and Arnaud Parreaux.

Didier Parreaux only remained as a director for three months. On 16 July 2025, he was removed and replaced by two new directors, Marla Sofia Parreaux and Badra Fettache, born in November 1973.

On 10 October 2025, the scam company Atreide Ventures SAS changed its business address from the French village of Gaillard, on the Swiss border, to the address 7 impasse Paquet-Merel, 69009, Lyon. Lyon is the global headquarters of Interpol.

The new address appears to be a residential building and the French residence of Madame Badra Fettache.

Badra Fettache has also operated a Swiss business, ASC Consulting in Geneva and more remarkably, when Mathieu Elias Parreaux became bankrupt, Badra took over control of one of his other companies, Polytek SA.

We found that Badra Fettache is also listed as a former employee of the city of Lyon.

Compare the man's voice in the milenium-crypto videos on Youtube to the recordings of Mathieu Parreaux on Radio Lac.

milenium-crypto is really Mathieu Parreaux asking more French victims to advance money into another Ponzi scheme.

On 24 October 2025, the French Autorité Marchés Financiers published an official warning about the web site atreide-ventures.fr.

Keen observers of the scandal watched all the videos and found a moment where Parreaux's desktop is visible and we can see his name there too.

Cryptocurrency is a great concept for specialists but for everybody else, it is simply a new way to get scammed. Beware.

Remember, Mathieu Elias Parreaux is a Swiss jurist and he started his previous business, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners while working as the greffier in the Tribunal of Monthey, Canton Valais.

The Swiss financial regulator knew about his activities for five years before they shut him down.

The French authorities have published a warning about his business but they did not shut the business down. The business is still trading and publishing videos every few days.

Fancy Concept, Marla Sofia Parreaux & cryptocurrency scandals

The bankruptcy of Mathieu Parreaux published his date of birth (11 November 1992) and his home address at Allée des Roseaux 1, Châtelaine 1219, Switzerland. He is a Swiss citizen originating from the commune of La Brévine, Canton Neuchatel.

Searching the address in public business records, we find a sole trader using the business name Fancy Concept. The business is at the same address and the proprietor is Marla Sofia Parreaux. Marla's date of birth appears in another public business register as August 1997. Marla is also linked to addresses in France, in both Gaillard and Lyon Vaise, for a business Atreide Ventures SAS (931 427 561) which is a front for Milenium Crypto.

Based on these dates of birth, people have speculated whether Marla is the wife, sister or cousin of ringleader Mathieu Parreaux.

We could not find any public web site for Fancy Concept in Switzerland. We found various other businesses around Europe using exactly the same name, including Fancy Concept in Bari, Italy and Fancy Concept in Sterrebeek, Belgium.

What was the purpose of creating this business? Did the Parreaux community hope to benefit from the brand created by other businesses using the same generic name? Or did they hope to be obfuscated by the very generic name and the presence of many similar names in search results?

With a very generic business name like this, it could just as easily be selling women's products, cryptocurrencies or even both at the same time.

Mathieu Parreaux was subject to a bankruptcy procedure in 2023. Marla Parreaux began the new business Fancy Concept on 26 September 2024. Did this business provide a way for Mathieu Parreaux to continue trading under a business registered to his wife?

Atreide Ventures was created in France at almost exactly the same time but using other directors. Marla Parreaux was only added as a director in 2025. When Atreide Ventures was created, they stated the business objective:

Activités auxiliaires de services financiers et d'assurance

Translated to English, they state that Atreide Ventures provides auxiliary services for the finance and insurance industries. Yet FINMA's order from April 2023 bans Mathieu Parreaux from working in insurance.

Did Marla Parreaux even know that a business had been created in her name? Remember, Mathieu Parreaux and some of his jurist colleagues had also worked as greffier in the tribunal. He may have been able to use some mechanism to complete the business registration without Marla Parreaux being aware her name was used as a director.

While that seems far-fetched, remember they had fooled a woman in France to quit her old job and come and work for them immediately before FINMA shut down the whole scam.

PLR & Le Centre incest: deputy public safety chief, mayor, prosecutor & Canton Valais minister all same party

In the first JuristGate report about a cover-up after the tragic fire at Le Constellation, Crans-Montana, we noted that two of the four key officials present at the media briefing, the public safety minister ( Stéphane Ganzer) and the chief prosecutor for Canton Valais ( Béatrice Pilloud) are both members of the same political party, that is, the Liberal Radical Party (PLR).

In fact, looking at the list of employees in the commune, we can find another even more disturbing connection to the PLR.

The mayor of the Crans-Montana municipal council is Nicolas Féraud. He is a member of the PLR, along with one other council member, Sébastien Rey.

After the fire, the council hid the page about their public safety team. Fortunately, one snapshot was captured by the Wayback Machine.

The people in the photo are Bryan Frily, Stecy Florey, Christophe Balet, the head of the public safety team, who is responsible for the building safety inspections, Benjamin Charpiot, the deputy head of the public safety team and Baptiste Cotter.

Searching the history of all team members, we quickly found that Benjamin Charpiot, the deputy head of public safety and inspections, was also a previous election candidate for the the Liberal Radical Party (PLR).

Le Centre (The Center party) is at it too

If there is a conflict of interest, surely the prosecutor, Béatrice Pilloud can simply step aside and allow her deputy to handle the investigation?

Pilloud's deputy is Catherine Seppey from another political party, Le Centre (The Center).

In the municipal council of Crans-Montana, three out of seven elected council members are also members of the same party as the deputy prosecutor. François Berclaz, Marielle Clivaz and Patrick Clivaz.

Of those three, Patrick Clivaz is also the councilor responsible for public safety.

Therefore, the deputy prosecutor also has a conflict of interest with respect to members of the municipal council.

Risks of nepotism and "copinage"

The Swiss media and social media have been quick to warn about the risk of "copinage". Everybody in Switzerland knows what its like to live in a little village like this.

Notice how five members of the municipal council share two surnames, Clivaz (3) and Rey (2).

Better for prosecutors to step aside early

Other countries have now assigned their own prosecutors to supervise the investigation. In Paris, Rome and Brussels, senior prosecutors have been assigned to open their own cases and interview suspects and witnesses on their own territory.

European leaders have expressed strong support for Switzerland in recent days. But just in case that support is misplaced, they are going to make sure their own prosecutors are watching every step very carefully.

To save face, it would be better for the Canton Valais officials to admit these conflicts of interest are serious and step aside now rather than waiting for a situation where they lose public support.

Remember the case of the greffier Mathieu Parreaux in the same canton who was accepting payments from legal protection insurance clients at the same time he was working inside the tribunal as a greffier.

Awaiting trial: RTS reports Lens public safety inspector prosecuted, facing negligence charges 2022 fire

On Sunday, Swiss broadcaster RTS reported that there was another fire in the same district, Lens VS, in 2022.

In circumstances similar to the tragic fire at Le Constellation on New Year's Eve, the fire spread quickly to other parts of the building. Nobody was killed but at least one neighbour required treatment in intensive care.

The Canton Valais prosecutors felt that the rapid spread of the fire was preventable. They began a prosecution against the public safety officer for the Commune of Lens (VS). RTS has not published his name but it is easy enough to find Nicolas Grange is the suspect waiting for trial.

In a local magazine from April 2020, the authorities tell us:

The same magazine has an article about local schoolchildren visiting a display of aboriginal Australian art at the Opal Foundation. The Opals themselves are found in Australia. The children in the photo from 2020 would now be between 15 and 18 years of age. Maybe some of them were in Le Constellation at the time of the fire?

We found the name and job title of Mr Grange in this report about improvements to the council offices.

We don't want to speculate about whether Grange is innocent or not, The more pressing question for us: if the prosecutors were aware the standard of inspections was inadequate since at least 2022, why didn't they escalate concerns about the matter to the Canton's executive?

Burn victims treated worse than suspects: Crans-Montana double-whammy, years of arguments over medical bills and compensation

The Nazis claimed they were humane killers. Victims of Zyklon B in the gas chambers were supposed to die within two minutes.

Those who survived the fire at Le Constellation, Crans-Montana, Canton Valais are set to face years of arguments about their medical bills and compensation.

Authorities have revealed the vast majority of victims have inhaled hot and poisonous fumes, burning their airways and lungs and requiring them to be placed into an induced coma and intubated.

We don't know if they are having dreams or nightmares in the coma. What we do know is that they will wake up to the nightmare of Swiss medical bills and insurance companies.

Tages Anzeiger has discussed the scars of medical debt with Swiss jurist Rolf Steinegger. Many other media outlets repeated his comments (also in Le Temps):

For victims, the process can be very grueling.

The victims of the fire in Crans-Montana could face a legal battle lasting years. A lawyer is therefore appealing to the federal government – also to protect Switzerland's reputation.

...

Clarifying which party (managers, building inspectors, architect, builder) is really guilty after the club fire that killed 40 people could take years.

...

“It can often take years before they receive compensation, and even then, it can be very unsatisfactory.”

...

... prevent a repeat of the Kaprun fire disaster in November 2000. The tunnel fire, which claimed 155 lives, was followed by years of legal proceedings. "In the end, the victims were frustrated because they felt the process was unfair," Steinegger explains.

People who are disabled after the disaster and, for example, can no longer work, face enormous follow-up costs. "These costs are simply incalculable," says Steinegger.

The inspectors, architect and suppliers of insulation will all try to cover themselves and point blame at each other. This will frustrate victims.

This web site was originally founded when the insurance regulator themselves failed. Look at the example of the email from Joao Rodrigues Boleiro. In the email, written in French, Rodrigues Boleiro is telling me that he is not responsible and it is all the fault of another partner in the firm: Mathieu Parreaux, the founder. In the last post that Parreaux himself published on LinkedIn, Parreaux told us that FINMA is responsible.

Look at Grenfell Tower and the insulation company. Internal documents show that the manufacturer, Kingspan, knew about fire risk and promoted the product in places where it shouldn't be used.

Yet in Canton Valais, they weren't even sure how many victims they have. It took a week for all victims to be counted correctly before they can even begin thinking about legal action. First they told us there were 113 victims, then there were 119 victims and now only 116 victims (also in BBC report).

In the German language, we use the same word, Schuldige, for somebody who is guilty of a crime and Schuldner for somebody who has a big debt for medical expenses.

The owners of the bar, who are suspects have been given unconditional bail and are free to come and go as they please while the investigation is underway, even while some of the victims may be involuntarily confined to hospital for months.

When somebody fell on Carla in Zurich, the Swiss authorities spent two years protecting the yoga studio and blaming Carla and I.

I hope the victims of the fire will not spend the next two years in arguments about insurance. The jurist Rolf Steinegger suggests it may be much longer than that.

While victims wait for the money questions to be resolved, they may have a black mark on their credit record. This is called a Betreibung in German or a poursuite in French. The same word is also used to describe stalking. Think of these black marks on the credit record as analogous to the life-long scars on the victims' faces.

The Holocaust kicked off with the Kristallnacht, or night of broken glass, on 9 November 1938. Incidentally, one of the most violent attacks against a young woman in Australia took place on 9 November 2005. Lauren Huxley was beaten with a wrench and then set on fire.

At the end of his sentence, the man responsible was released from prison in 2025. The media were keen to interview Lauren and publish before-and-after photos.

Technically, on paper, Jacques Moretti and Jessica Maric may be responsible for the tragedy because they own the bar. In practice, most bar owners are not experts on the use of fire-resistant construction practices and they depend on the suppliers of construction materials, the local municipality and the building inspectors to provide specialist insights into fire-resistant design.

Scapegoats, Crans-Montana, Le Constellation: candles, managers, commune are not the only ones at fault

In a press conference on the morning of 6 January 2026, the mayor of the Commune of Crans-Montana admits there had been no inspection for five years and they only conduct inspections on areas suspected to be high risk, such as kitchens.

After the Pulse nightclub tragedy in Macedonia, the risks of nightclub fires were re-examined and widely documented. Many European countries paid attention.

Industry magazines and web sites frequented by building inspectors and insurance specialists published extensive reports.

From a report by CROSS UK:

On 16th March 2025, a fire broke out at the Pulse nightclub in North Macedonia. Leaving 61 people dead, the fire was reportedly started by indoor fireworks igniting materials inside the club. Many people will remember similar incidents ...

... Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Argentina, the USA, Ecuador, China and Brazil. Around 1,000 people have died in such fires. ...

... the alarming global trend: mass fatalities are still occurring because of the use of pyrotechnics in nightclubs. Furthermore, the frequency and severity of these fires is a real cause for concern. ...

The British seem to get it. Their very detailed national guidance encourages business owners, building designers, inspectors and local authorities to take all measures to prevent mass death:

You need to be aware that certain functions e.g. discos, can present additional dangers for the audience, largely from the effects of over excitement and irrational behaviour; together with the higher noise level and flashing lights. In such circumstances, and particularly where there is a mainly younger audience, you should ensure that there are a sufficient number of competent and adequately trained attendants to cover an emergency situation; and a public address system which can over-ride the performance and be heard clearly in all parts of the premises will be required.

In Switzerland, however, responsibility for writing the standards and enforcing them is split across twenty six different cantons and hundreds of tiny little communes / municipalities.

How many Swiss cantons did an audit after Pulse nightclub? How many did nothing?

The CROSS-UK research report was shared widely and ignited a debate in the industry. International Fire & Safety Journal was one of many outlets to direct people towards the CROSS-UK report.

Is it possible that somebody in at least one Swiss canton read that report and decided to do an audit?

Even if the Swiss authorities find a defect, how long does it take before they protect the public? Look at the case of the illegal legal insurance firm, Parreaux, Thiebaud & Partners. It is alleged that authorities knew about the firm since 2018 but didn't take enforcement action until 2023.

Look at Grenfell Tower and the insulation company. Internal documents show that the manufacturer, Kingspan, knew about fire risk and covered it up.

The report published on Wednesday found Kingspan, which is headquartered in County Cavan, was not directly responsible for the fire but showed "complete disregard for fire safety" in how it marketed one of its products.

It also demonstrated "deeply entrenched and persistent dishonesty...in pursuit of commercial gain".

How many building control specialists followed the reports about the Grenfell tragedy and expanded their practice to include the insulation foams, accoustic foams and similar products?

In comments quoted by Le Temps and many other media outlets, I feel the canton's prosecutor, Béatrice Pilloud is now being evasive about the width of the exit staircase:

En ce qui concerne l’étroitesse de l’escalier, j’ai vu l’escalier. J’ai été constaté également sur place, qu’est-ce qu’un escalier étroit, en fait, finalement?

Translated to English:

On matters concerning the narrowness of the staircase, I saw the staircase. I contemplated that on site, what is a narrow staircase, ultimately?

Looking back to the UK regulations, they would simply take out a measuring tape and give us an answer in millimeters. Then they would compare it to the minimum widths in the regulations. Pilloud spent most of her career working as a defense lawyer and when I look at the way she avoided a direct question about the width, I feel that rather than looking for every possible reason to advance the prosecution, she is falling into the habits she developed as a defence lawyer and trying to avoid putting any facts in the open that could become landmines for her political cousins who run the canton and the communes.

In fact, we saw similar phenomena when people made abuse reports. The church appointed a lawyer with the title of "Independent Commissioner" and encouraged victims to take their complaints to him for assessment. The Royal Commission heard allegations that he wasn't active enough in encouraging people to make police reports and some evidence was leaked to other lawyers acting to defend the church:

The Catholic Church's independent commissioner was unable to explain how he received confidential information from a victim of serial paedophile priest Kevin O'Donnell or why it was passed on to the church's lawyers in an apparent breach of confidentiality.

The Royal Commission also raised concerns about the independence of Peter O'Callaghan, QC, who has investigated allegations of clerical abuse for the past 18 years under the church's controversial Melbourne Response.
The church's law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth was also questioned over its handling of files and sensitive information from three separate arms of the Melbourne Response, which claim to be independent of each other.

One of Mr O'Callaghan's first duties as a lawyer involved representing the concerns of my grandparents in the Liquor Royal Commission. This is ironic, of course, because the late Cardinal Pell would subsequently be prosecuted in relation to allegations involving two choir boys who went looking for the sacramental wine.

The Liquor Royal Commission sought to examine all aspects of the industry, from the viability of small businesses to the safety of the public.

In Switzerland, authorities were considering a proposal to relax fire safety regulations but that has now been put on hold and the consultation extended.

Stéphane Ganzer, the security minister who previously worked as a fireman, told us that they use the same candles / sparklers in every venue without a problem and there must have been a more serious defect in the building that allowed it to catch fire.

After looking at the videos of the moment when the fire started, the media speculated if it was an accoustic foam that was not in conformance with fire regulations.

Now, with the media briefing of 6 January, the commune has admitted that the accoustic foam was inspected only a few weeks ago to ensure it is adequate for noise prevention but they do not mention whether any control of fire safety is performed in the same audit.

This suggests that the neighbors and the commune were so concerned with enforcing Switzerland's super-strict regulations on noise emissions after 10pm that they forced the children into this dangerous underground bunker run by a convicted pimp.

Every Swiss parent knows where their fifteen year old hangs out on a Saturday night if for no other reason than the fact somebody has to drive there to pick them up. Le Constellation was no secret.

As noted in a previous report, the three most senior political figures in the canton all live in the immediate vicinity of Le Constellation. How many times have they been there to pick up their own children after a party?

Liquor licensing, police and fire inspectors normally make random visits to high-risk venues during trading hours. This is well known throughout the world. Does this type of inspection happen from time to time in Valais?

Did the owner, who appears to be a chef, really do the load-bearing walls and the electrical work entirely by himself or did an architect, engineer or electrician provide oversight at various moments during the project?

Journalists found various photos published by the owners during the construction works. Who are all the other people in the photos? Do any of them have professional responsibility or will they be given anonymity?

How many other premises in Canton Valais had assistance from the same engineer and architect? Will the owners of other premises be given anonymity too?

Are there any cantons in Switzerland where the architects and engineers are required to be qualified as in some other countries or can anybody work in these professions, even without a degree?

Job title

The professional title "architect" is not protected in Switzerland. This means that, in principle, anyone can call themselves an architect.

In this "uncontrolled growth", the Bachelor's degree in architecture from a federally accredited university (universities of applied sciences, universities) is a recognized seal of quality. It leads to the title "Bachelor of Arts [FH/UH] in Architecture".

Authorization to practice the profession

Who is allowed to work independently as an architect is regulated by the cantons. There are cantons (e.g. GE, VD, NE) in which the architectural profession is regulated and a license and proof of professional qualifications are required to practice. In other cantons, the profession is not regulated.

What is the role of the insurance company? Did they know they were insuring a night club full of teenagers or were they tricked? Do they require policyholders to have any inspections or certifications above and beyond those mandated by the local municipality?

Look at JuristGate, it looks like one of the women who worked for the rogue insurance company was immediately given a job at another insurance company. Were the insurance companies in collaboration with the Swiss authorities to cover up the extraordinary levels of incompetence?

Looking through the meeting minutes of the municipality, the canton and the federal parliament, can we find previous discussions about the regulation and inspection of night clubs and similar spaces?

Look at how the politicians are hyper-sensitive about foreign people coming to work in Switzerland but they made no scrutiny of these foreign people setting up a high-risk business where children go on Saturday nights and New Year's Eve.

Many other people interacted with Jacques Moretti and Jessica Maric throughout the ten years they spent renovating and operating businesses in Crans-Montana. A genuinely thorough investigation might raise uncomfortable questions about each of their collaborators and all the other premises where any of the same collaborators have had a role in design, construction or supervision. Switzerland is only a small country where everybody is related to everybody else. For that reason, many people would prefer not to open up that can of worms at all because they don't know how many other people might be brought down with the Morettis.

This was never just about the candles or the Morettis.

Crans-Montana, Le Constellation: journalists, victims' families, ProtonMail users at risk, police raids

A news report appeared about the Geneva airport setting up a zone to welcome family members coming to search for missing and injured victims of the tragic fire at Le Constellation in Crans-Montana, Valais.

My first thought upon reading this report is that it could be a trap, or at the very least, part of a public relations exercise to divert these family members from contact with the journalists and lawyers waiting to greet them.

Incidentally, a lot of journalists are now using ProtonMail, which is based in Switzerland and subject to surveillance by Swiss police. Remember how Arjen Kamphuis disappeared.

My fears about the "welcome zone" for families are well founded: this is exactly what they did to victims of Parreaux, Thiebaud & Partners, the JuristGate scandal.

In April 2023, the Swiss financial regulator, FINMA, made a judgment shutting down the illegal legal insurance scheme. They did not publish the judgment, they did not inform the clients and they did not offer any compensation to the clients whatsoever. To minimize media attention on the ponzi scheme run by Swiss jurists, they issued the judgment simultaneously with the much bigger Credit Suisse crisis.

In September 2023, as the FINMA director was resigning for health reasons, FINMA published a heavily redacted document about an enforcement action that had taken place at some unspecified moment during his tenure. Despite the effort to redact the document, they had inadvertently included an acronym in the filename allowing us to prove the link to JuristGate.

Within days, Daniel Pocock published his first damning exposé on the cross-border scandal.

It looks like at least one of the former employees of the illegal legal insurance company was given help to find a new job so that she would stay quiet about the scandal.

FINMA has never offered any compensation to Mr Pocock and his family.

On 1 November 2023, Mr Pocock was granted Swiss citizenship in the Canton of Vaud.

Shortly after the publication, Mr Pocock began receiving increasingly nasty threats of violence. Mr Pocock recorded people coming to his home uninvited and making threats.

At 08:30 on 1 January 2026, Mr Pocock's blog was the first to find and publish links to old news reports about owners of Le Constellation doing the renovations by themselves.

Within two days, every media outlet is now running the story that these people have been charged with negligent homicide.

Mr Pocock warned the public that they have at least two other businesses, Le Senso in Crans-Montana and Le Vieux Chalet in Lens (VS) and they have done the construction work themselves in at least one of those businesses.

According to a report in Le Temps, the maximum sentence these people would face is four and a half years in prison. That is less than the sentence given to legendary human rights activist Gerhard Ulrich for creating the Swiss-Corruption.com web site.

The news reports today tell us that the Crans-Montana suspects, facing charges relating to forty deaths and over one hundred seriously injured victims, have been released on unconditional bail. They are even free to travel outside Switzerland. Yet when Gerhard Ulrich dared to publish information about the absurd behaviour of Swiss jurists, they sent the TIGRIS commando unit to molest him and lock him up.

This is grim news: if the foreign journalists, Swiss journalists, the victims or their family members make any "critical commentary" about the Swiss authorities, the building inspections or the suspects, even daring to publish the names of the suspects on social media, they could all be arrested on "criminal speech" charges.

This is no exaggeration: that is exactly what the jurist Rodrigues-Boleiro wrote above with his reference to Art. 173ss CP of the Swiss Criminal Code.

In 2011, Adrian von Bidder-Senn died on the same day Mr Pocock got married. The widow, Diana von Bidder-Senn, became mayor of Basel. There have been countless vendettas against Mr Pocock and his family over more than fifteen years. Mr Pocock has not committed any crime. His presence is a reminder of the possibility that a Swiss citizen, Adrian von Bidder, could be so unhappy that they would take their own life. So they want to snuff out Mr Pocock too so they can pretend everybody is happy. What does it mean to be Swiss?

The Debian suicide cluster, as a whole, is just as bad as the deaths in Le Constellation.

Some of the suicide victims had referred to the behaviour of the overlords. The overlords will do anything to avoid scrutiny of their behaviour. The Swiss jurists habitually gravitate towards the side who has the most money.

The von Bidders are both graduates of the elite ETH Zurich university. On the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, another ETH Zurich employee and Debianist, Axel Beckert, signed a demand asking Swiss authorities to violently attack Mr Pocock and destroy all of his computers and other evidence about the possibility that a Swiss graduate of the ETH Zurich had committed suicide on Mr Pocock's wedding day.

Well done ETH Zurich. Well done Switzerland.

Look again at the emails from Joao Rodrigues-Boleiro and compare them to the demands from ETH Zurich. They are not complaining about any real crimes. They are sooking hysterically about an unpaid volunteer who put his finger on the truth and dared to publish it.

Let's go back to the case of Joao Rodrigues Boleiro. His emails to Mr Pocock do not disclose his relation with the police. In fact, according to his LinkedIn profile, he has also worked as an in-house jurist for the police departments in both canton Valais and canton Geneva.

The founder of the illegal legal insurance scheme, Mathieu Parreaux had worked as a greffier in the tribunal of Monthey, Valais at the same time that he was selling illegal legal protection insurance. That was also around the same time that Joao Rodrigues Boleiro was working with the police and attorney general (procureur / Ministère public) in Sierre and Sion, canton Valais.

Therefore, by identifying the history of Joao Rodrigues Boleiro today, I want to ask the question: how long did Rodrigues-Boleiro's police colleagues know that he quit his police job to go and work for a scam?

After all, Mathieu Parreaux told us on his own LinkedIn post that the authorities knew his company was a scam since 2018, well before the time Joao Rodrigues Boleiro decided to quit his police job and join the insurance racket.

FINMA shut down the illegal legal insurance in April 2023 but even more than a year later, Joao Rodrigues Boleiro was still listed in the Canton Geneva police directory as one of their own jurists.

When he sent the email threats to unpaid volunteer Mr Pocock in December 2023, Joao Rodrigues Boleiro did not show Mr Pocock his police badge or reveal anything about his connections to the police department.

When UBS was being prosecuted in 2010, Mr Pocock went to Switzerland in good faith to help them improve their business processes. But some of the native Swiss people are the most deeply racist crackpots Mr Pocock has ever encountered. Some of these people are deeply jealous of professionals like Mr Pocock who were born in other countries and speak Swiss languages with an accent. They are too stubborn to listen and they use the police to hide their own sheer incompetence. Now forty of their own children are dead and over one hundred have been scarred for life by third degree burns.

On 15 January 2023, Mr Pocock dared to speculate what a model police officer looks like. A few weeks later, the police officer identified by Mr Pocock was awarded the National Emergency Medal for his efforts during the Australian bushfires. In other words, Victoria Police have had their best and brightest watching Mr Pocock for a long time. A rogue employee of ETH Zurich, which claims to be a leading research institution, tried to organize a lynching because Mr Pocock is a reliable judge of character.

That point needs to be emphasized: Mr Pocock called out his old friend as an exemplary police officer and the person in question won the National Emergency Medal. On 9 September 2023, Mr Pocock told the Cambridgeshire coroner about the risks of the Debian toxic culture and three days after that warning, the next victim died. Mr Pocock has an uncanny habit of being right about people. Snobby people have a fit when you hold a mirror up to them.

Look at how Joao Rodrigues Boleiro from the Canton Valais police and Axel Beckert from ETH Zurich tried to bully Mr Pocock into silence in the documents cited above.

Amnesty International published a report about the Swiss police using violence to "arrest" and sexually abuse Trevor Kitchen for his reports about financial corruption.

Trevor Kitchen, a 41-year-old British citizen resident in Switzerland, was arrested by police in Chiasso (canton of Ticino) on the morning of 25 December 1992 in connection with offences of defamation and insults against private individuals. In a letter addressed to the Head of the Federal Department of Justice and Police in Berne and to the Tribunal in Bellinzona (Ticino) on 3 June 1993 he alleged that two police officers arrested him in a bar in Chiasso and, after handcuffing him, accompanied him to their car in the street outside. They then bent him over the car and hit him around the head approximately seven times and carried out a body search during which his testicles were squeezed. He claimed he was then punched hard between the shoulder blades several times. He said he offered no resistance during the arrest.

He was then taken to a police station in Chiasso where he was questioned in Italian (a language he does not understand) and stated that during the questioning "The same policeman that arrested me came into the office to shout at me and hit me once again around the head. Another policeman forced me to remove all of my clothes. I was afraid that they would use physical force again; they continued to shout at me. The one policeman was pulling at my clothes and took my trouser belt off and removed my shoe laces. Now I stood in the middle of an office completely naked (for 10 minutes) with the door wide open and three policemen staring at me, one of the policemen put on a pair of rubber surgical gloves and instructed me to crouch into a position so that he could insert his fingers into my anus, I refused and they all became angry and started shouting and demonstrating to me the position which they wanted me to take, laughing, all were laughing, these police were having a good time. They pointed at my penis, making jokes, hurling abuse and insults at me, whilst I stood completely still and naked. Finally, when they finished laughing, one of the policemen threw my clothes onto the floor in front of me. I got dressed."

He was transferred to prison some hours later and in his letter claimed that during the night he started to experience severe pains in his chest, back and arms. He asked a prison guard if he could see a doctor but the request was refused and he claimed the guard kicked him. He was released on 30 December 1993. Medical reports indicated that since his release he had been experiencing recurrent pain in the area of his chest and right shoulder and had been receiving physiotherapy for an injury to the upper thoracic spine and his right shoulder girdle.

Stardust to Crans-Montana, Le Constellation: cover-up already under way

The author of these reports is Daniel Pocock, a member of Engineers Australia, Engineers Ireland and an elected representative of the Free Software Fellowship.

Mr Pocock is a citizen of Australia, Ireland and Switzerland.

Mr Pocock was granted Swiss citizenship in the Canton of Vaud, which is adjacent to the bilingual Canton of Valais where the tragedy occurred.

Valais can be thought of as the New Hampshire of Switzerland, a region where businessmen enjoy minimal regulation.

Valais is the third largest canton but it only has a population of 350,000 people. The population is relatively wealthy by European standards but on the other hand, they don't have the depth and breadth of skills that can be found in more populated cantons like Zurich and Geneva.

In Switzerland, each Canton operates with significant autonomy and the federal government has a rather insignificant role in comparison to other countries.

While standards in construction are agreed at a national level, it is the responsibility of each canton to enforce the standards in local premises.

Pocock's first blog after the fire found evidence the night club's owner had done the internal fit-out himself back in 2016:

(Translated to English) It was love at first sight! This Corsican businessman decided to open a business. Conveniently, Le Constellation, in the center of Crans, was for sale. He had to wait until June 2015 to sign the agreement. For six months, Jacques Moretti rolled up his sleeves and completely renovated the establishment. "I did almost everything myself. Look at these walls, there are 14 tons of dry-stone masonry, and the stones come from Saint-Léonard!" Since December 2015, Le Constellation has been showcasing Corsican products: cured meats, wines, beers, myrtle liqueur, and even chestnut-flavored whisky. "But mind you, I'm also keen to feature local Valais products. You have some excellent wines here; it's a pleasure to serve them to my customers." The Corsican admits he feels very much at home here. "You know, we're alike. We're both mountain people at heart. Stubborn, perhaps, but above all, very kind."

French TV channel BFMTV subsequently published statements from witnesses. The statements were repeated by Le Temps in Geneva:

The Hypothesis of a flame on a bottle

The testimony of two French women, gathered by BFMTV, is striking. The two witnesses, who were in the bar that night, recount the panic that seized the customers of Le Constellation and the stampede triggered by the fire.

They mention the use of "candles" placed in champagne bottles. One of them was reportedly held close to the ceiling. "In a few dozen seconds, the entire ceiling was on fire. Everything was made of wood," the two customers recount. They describe how a loud order had been given and a female member of the staff climbed onto a male colleague's shoulders. The fire then spread up to the ground floor of the establishment, they say. Panicked, the customers tried to escape through the exit door. "It was quite small compared to the number of people present. Someone broke a window so that people could get out," one of them adds.

The Canton of Valais shares borders with France and Italy. Shortly before the fire, the new French ambassador was presented to Switzerland in a ceremony in Valais, at the Opal Foundation, the very same location where the local authorities conducted their media briefing after the fire.

On the morning after the fire, four local Swiss officials attended the media briefing. News reports emphasized their roles: the president of the canton, the minister for security, the attorney general and the chief of police. All except the last, the police chief, are political appointments.

By coincidence, three of these four people live in immediate proximity to Crans, where the fire occurred and Lens, where the business owner has another restaurant, Le Vieux Chalet 1978. People need to ask how many times they visited these businesses personally. How well did they know the proprietor and staff?

The attorney general's husband, Francois Pilloud, operates a local winery. In a small canton like Valais, these families have a common interest in promoting the canton as a destination for tourists. The night club owner told the media that he likes to serve wines from local producers in Valais.

During the course of the rescue operation, authorities made their own videos of the police and firemen at work. In the morning, they published a two minute montage of videos emphasizing all the equipment and people mobilized to respond to the crisis.

However, the video is uncomfortable to watch. It feels like a public relations exercise was under way even before the bodies started to be removed and counted. The video showcases all the expensive equipment possessed by canton Valais but the video doesn't tell us anything about their competence for building inspections.

In July 2024, a scaffolding collapsed outside a shopping center in Lausanne, canton Vaud. People died. There were international news reports about the tragedy. Searching online today, I couldn't find any evidence that anybody ever conducted a public inquiry or published a report.

In October 2022, a massive construction crane collapsed beside the University of Lausanne (UNIL). The crane collapsed onto the concrete foundations sending a shockwave through the region. Many people who felt the shockwave feared an accident in the EPFL nuclear reactor. The authorities eventually told us that only one person died. Once again, I can find no further reports about inquiries or public reports about the accident. The accident occurred in Chavannes-près-Renens, the same commune where I was naturalized as a Swiss citizen. I was in the region on the very day of the accident.

Remember the referendum on corporate accountability (Responsible business initiative)? Canton Valais was one of the Cantons that voted No to accountability.

Look at how three of the four senior officials managing the crisis are personally domiciled in the immediate neighbourhood of the nightclub. In a canton with such a small population, it is very likely that some or all of these officials have frequented the businesses owned by Jacques Moretti.

Mathias Reynard is the president of the canton Valais. His official profile tells us that he is domiciled in Savièse, which is adjacent to Lens and Crans. He is a member of the Parti socialiste.

Stéphane Ganzer is the canton's minister for security. His official profile tells us he is domiciled in Veyras which is half way up the hill going to the Crans-Montana resort. Ganzer has twenty years experience as a fireman and this is more valuable than his job as a politician in the circumstances. He is a member of the PLR.Les Libéraux-Radicaux political party.

Frédéric Gisler is the police chief for canton Valais. A public announcement about his appointment gives us details about his career history. The report notes that he has worked as a police inspector, as a prosecutor and as a greffier. In a previous report about corruption, we demonstrated how a greffier is able to exercise the powers of a judge. A prosecutor exercising judge-like powers is a huge conflict of interest. The previous report made the remarkable revelation that Mathieu Parreaux, founder of the illegal legal insurance scheme, had worked as the greffier, similar to a judge, in the tribunal of Monthey. Coincidentally, Monthey is also in the Canton of Valais and Gisler is from Vernayaz, which is much closer to Monthey than the other individuals mentioned here.

Béatrice Pilloud is the attorney general or chief prosecutor for the canton. Her declaration of interests tells us she is a member of the PLR.Les Libéraux-Radicaux political party, that is, the same party as the canton's security minister. Is it appropriate for both of these roles to be linked politically? Her husband is Francois Pilloud. He is a co-owner of the PaP Vins winery and tourism business.

Béatrice Pilloud spent more than twenty years working as a criminal defence lawyer before she decided to work as the attorney general. Therefore, she has switched sides. Is this fair to all the clients she represented and defended over the years?

When people have all these powers and conflicts of interest, it is easy to see how they could use their powers to either cover something up, to punish whistleblowers or to designate somebody as a scapegoat and deceive the public about who is really at fault.

Over 100 survivors have suffered severe and critical injuries from burns and the inhalation of smoke. The crisis teams in three of Switzerlands biggest hospitals are fully occupied treating these unexpected casualties on a public holiday. Yet the Canton of Valais has told visitors in other ski resorts they can continue to ski as long as they don't have accidents.

The earlier blog about the subject identifies Jacques Moretti and his spouse Jessica Maric as co-proprietors/founders of the business where the tragedy occurred.

Ireland suffered a similar tragedy, the Stardust nightclub fire in 1981. Forty eight people died. Forty five years later, the families are still waiting for answers. As a citizen of both Ireland and Switzerland, it bothers me that the same lightning has struck two countries.

The JuristGate investigation found much the same phenomena. FINMA never gave any information to people who purchased the illegal legal insurance. They only published a redacted and anonymized version of their judgment six months later. The JuristGate web site has unredacted it so people can see how Switzerland covers up crime and incompetence.

It is entirely possible that people have committed suicide due to the financial and insurance crisis in Switzerland. These deaths are every bit as bad as the deaths in Le Constellation.

When people like Mr Pocock try to offer professional advice, for example, after the Debian suicide cluster, they are subject to public humiliation and threats of violence (recorded). The lawyers, politicians and small business owners are a group of kissing-cousins. Protecting the reputations and business interests of their families and friends is inextricably intertwined with covering up all the people who failed to prevent this disaster.

Look at the mayor of Basel, Diana von Bidder-Senn. They tell us that she has a PhD in cybersecurity from ETH Zurich but she didn't realize that her own husband was under the influence of social engineering. Can there be any more extreme example of social engineering than a victim who dies by suicide? IBM's annual Cost of a Data Breach report regularly concludes that social engineering is the number one risk for their clients.

Mathieu Parreaux claims FINMA knew since day one

In an extraordinary final LinkedIn post about the closure of his illegal legal insurance venture, the founder, Mathieu Parreaux claimed the Swiss financial regulator, FINMA, was aware of his business since the very beginning of the partnership structure in 2018. In other words, he alleges FINMA knew about it for five years.

To clarify, Mathieu Parreaux had originally created the business using the name Parreaux & Associés in October 2016. This name appears on LinkedIn but it was not in the business register. In 2018, he recruited the business partner Francois Thiébaud and formed the new entity Parreaux, Thiébaud SNC approximately eight weeks after Thiébaud had closed his previous business, a massage parlour in Le Locle.

LinkedIn alleges that Parreaux's final post has been edited a number of times. I attach a screenshot taken on 7 October 2025.

In paragraph five, Parreaux has written "After five years of discussions", implying that FINMA has been aware of his business and discussing it with him for five years.

My understanding of financial services is that anybody who wants to operate an investment or insurance scheme needs to obtain their licenses and permits before accepting the first payment from a customer. But I am not a jurist like Mathieu Parreaux, so what would I know?

Parreaux confirms that 20,000 clients were impacted. He claims that the government doesn't care about the clients, which included my own business the Software Freedom Institute.

He claims to care about the interests of clients and offers to "support them until the end, at our own expense". He does not share any financial information about assets and running costs of the business so we can not determine whether this proposition was credible or not.

Then again, FINMA only published their side of the story more than six months later, they redacted over ninety percent of paragraphs and they even redacted the dates and company names from the judgment. Therefore, the information that was eventually disclosed from FINMA is not sufficient for anybody to know who is right and who is wrong.

Here is a translation of Parreaux's final LinkedIn post in English:

The inside story of a true scandal... Here is the story of a Swiss man currently shocked by a country he loves with all his heart.

For five years, through Justicia SA, we have been offering a legal product that democratizes access to the law. The concept is simple: you pay a legal subscription of a few hundred francs on average, and our firm's services are available to you without any additional charges or service exclusions.

A mini-revolution for the legal field and the billing method.

A huge revolution for the legal insurance sector, which we have tackled head-on.

After five years of discussions, FINMA sent us a letter containing a decision to immediately close our company because it deemed us to be an insurance company and that we did not comply with certain conditions related to this activity.

While this is perfectly conceivable, FINMA gives us no deadline to comply with these conditions. Incredibly, FINMA also removes any suspensive effect on any legal action.

This means they're deciding that their decision is immediate, and that even if we win an appeal in two years, everything will have been reduced to dust, leaving us with nothing but a possible "Sorry, guys! You can start all over again."

It gets even worse. The approximately 20,000 clients we currently represent are left without assistance. With a complete shutdown of our business, our government doesn't care about these thousands of clients who are currently in need.

A profoundly humane choice would have been, at the very least, to order a closure in a year, at the end of the clients' contractual period, so that we could support them until the end, at our own expense.

We are dealing with a total disregard not only for innovative companies, but also for individuals who need our assistance.

When we weigh these facts against our state's tolerance for companies that are rotten to the core, one thing stands out: in our democracy, the rotten giants will always fare better than the innovative little ones.

Despite these events, this allows us to fill the gaps that existed. With our motivation, our determination, and our influential partners, we will return.

We will return. More numerous. More motivated. Stronger.

Mathieu Elias Parreaux declared bankrupt in Switzerland

In December 2023, the bankruptcy procedure was started against Mathieu Elias Parreaux.

This is a procedure for the bankruptcy of Mr Parreaux in a personal capacity. His business had already been liquidated prior to this.

The Swiss gazette published a provisional alert.

In April 2024, the gazette contained a call to creditors.

In June 2024, the gazette announced they had completed an inventory of assets and a plan for dividing the assets between creditors.

There have been ongoing reports that Mathieu Parreaux is giving people advice about insurance and investments, especially in the crypto market. Anybody obtaining financial advice from Parreaux would be wise to ask him to explain the full circumstances of his own bankruptcy.

In particular, we need to understand whether Parreaux's businesses failed due to his own mistakes or due to wrongdoing by a third party such as an employee or a key supplier to his business.

Normally when a business fails, the personal assets of the directors and shareholders are not subject to the business bankruptcy. We need to understand what is different in this case, why was Mr Parreaux placed in bankruptcy in a personal capacity? For example, was he subject to judgments concerning criminal conduct or a civil judgment to compensate third parties?

Mr Parreaux needs to publish all the documents relating to his bankrupcty, including all the judgments and decisions from FINMA and the debt collection office.

Mr Parreaux's businesses have included a number of people who appear to be close colleagues and family members. The possible family members with the name Parreaux are Arnaud Parreaux, Marla Sofia Parreaux, Didier Parreaux and Hodan Parreaux-Hussein.

Naturally, creditors would like to know if any of the family members or friends have received salary payments or other benefits that could represent a transfer of assets out of the businesses prior to their liquidation.

Swiss pimp usurping reputation of legendary Tissot boss Francois Thiébaud from France (BaselWorld, SWATCH Group SA)

Francois Thiébaud was born some time between 1946 and 1947 in France-Compte, a region of the French Jura that borders Switzerland. He completed a law degree at the University of Besancon and an MBA at l'Institut de contrôle de gestion de Paris (a reknowned French business school).

In 1970, Francois Thiébaud started his career in watchmaking in Morteau, France. Morteau is a scenic village in the Jura mountains approximately thirty kilometers from the Swiss border. Many French people who live in these border towns travel to work in Switzerland every day. In French, these cross-border workers are known as Frontalièrs.

The quartz crisis rocked the watchmaking industry in the 1970s. In 1979, Monsieur Thiébaud went to work for Swiss company Breitling. He was responsible for positioning the Breitling brand as a watch for aviators, a marketing theme that remains strong today.

In 1996, Francois Thiébaud was recruited to lead the company Tissot, based in Le Locle, Swiss Jura. In 2000 he became president of the Tissot brand and in 2006 he became a member of the SWATCH Group Executive Management Board.

Under his tenure, Tissot output increased from 800,000 watches per year to over 4 million watches per year.

In 2002, the French-born Thiébaud was appointed president of the organizing committee for BaselWorld, the world-reknowned Swiss watch industry expo.

In 2015, Tissot achieved a major coup when they became timekeeper for America's National Basketball Association, the NBA.

Francois Thiébaud went to America for the contract-signing.

Thiébaud was interviewed by many media organizations, including Forbes. The journalist prefixes his responses with the initials FT.

Swiss business records tell us that in March 2017, in Le Locle, the village everybody knows as the home of Tissot, Francois Thiébaud obtained a business license for a bar and massage parlour trading as El Paraiso at 42 rue Girardet.

One searches all the records before 2 September 2018 while the other box searches for all records after that date. Type the name of Mr Thiébaud and the name of the place, Francois Thiébaud Locle. Here is a screenshot of the search results:

Clicking the name of El Paraiso returns the business registration certificate from 4 April 2017.

On 10 May 2017 the news website ArcInfo published a report about Francois Thiébaud complaining that the local authority was selling the building out underneath him. The report emphasizes the use of the building for prostitution and they tell us that Mr Thiébaud is from Vevey which is more than two hours away from Le Locle.

In December 2017 Thiébaud canceled the business license for El Paraiso.

In 2018, various news reports appeared telling us that Francois Thiebaud of Vevey had merged his "services business" with the legal practice Parreaux & Associés to form the new business Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners.

The news report about prostitution has a note at the bottom in bold. They mention that on 11 June 2018 they decided to redact the name in the report and replace it with the initials F.T., like the news report from Forbes. They are not talking about the same F.T.

If the journalists at ArcInfo realized Francois Thiébaud from Vevey was usurping the reputation of the French Francois Thiébaud on the board of SWATCH Group, why did the Swiss financial regulator FINMA fail to notice the same phenomena?

When Francois Thiébaud from Vevey pulled out of the massage business to become the partner in a legal fees insurance firm, who was responsible for the probity checks?

At the time, Mathieu Parreaux, the other partner in the legal fees insurance business, was still working as the Greffier, with judge-like powers, in a tribunal in Canton Valais. The snapshot of his biography tells us he had previously worked as a KYC (Know-Your-Client) officer at Safra Sarasin and Audi Bank in Geneva. Given this experience, it looks likely he would know his new business partner, Francois Thiébaud from Vevey had previously run a massage parlour usurping the reputation of another prominent businessman. If Parreaux knew all of that and if Francois Thiébaud from Vevey had no prior experience in the legal or insurance industries then we can contemplate the possibility that Mathieu Parreaux only chose this other man as a business partner to continue the tradition of usurping the reputation of the real Francois Thiébaud from France, the world-reknowned president of Tissot.

Even when Parreaux seemed to know FINMA was about to shut him down in 2023, a new business entity, Justiva SA was created with Francois Thiébaud from Vevey as the company director. They seemed to know that the name Thiébaud was good as gold.

Whenever you open a new bank account, purchase an insurance policy or take out a loan, the firm asks you to provide all kinds of sensitive documents about your identity and financial history. Behind the scenes, KYC officers like Mathieu Parreaux have access to all those documents and huge databases about all of us. Wouldn't it be creepy if these men were using that data to usurp our identities for their own purposes?

I can't help remembering the ongoing saga of Matthias Kirschner using the name FSFE to usurp the reputation of the real Dr Richard Stallman and real FSF in Boston.

By using Francois Thiébaud from Vevey to usurp the reputation of Francois Thiébaud from France, the world-reknowned president of Tissot, the Swiss jurists are doing something that smells like identity theft.

In fact, because Francois Thiébaud, president of Tissot is really from France, he will always be a Frontalier. He may be one of the most successful Frontaliers in Switzerland. The Swiss jurists have used the reputation of the most successful Frontalier in Switzerland to deceive other Frontaliers to purchase a worthless insurance. Moreover, they even deceived a French woman to quit her job in a real insurance company to come and work for the illegal legal fees insurance in Geneva.

They tricked all those Frontaliers by using the name of Francois Thiébaud, a French man, the most successful Frontalier.

In 2019, the Swatch group chose not to participate in BaselWorld, the world's largest watch fair, despite the fact Thiébaud had been president of the BaselWorld committee for 20 years. Was he afraid to go out in public after the other Francois Thiébaud from Vevey had started sullying his reputation?

Francois Thiébaud of Tissot and BaselWorld is not the same Francois Thiébaud who decided to run a massage parlour in Le Locle. It is a long drive from Vevey to Le Locle. If you were starting your first business, why would you do so in a location so far from your home?

Another news report appears about the prostitution in 2021. The title tells us that Le Locle is no longer the capital of love for hire (Prostitution: Le Locle n’est plus la capitale des amours tarifées).

Francois Thiébaud is a French citizen. He grew up very close to the border with Switzerland and dedicated his entire life and career to the watch industry.

Francois Thiébaud of Vevey is a Swiss citizen. He is a totally different person. It is important to think about why he chose to operate that type of business and why he chose to do so in Le Locle. Was he hoping that anybody searching for his name in Google would be confused by all the news reports about Francois Thiébaud at Tissot? In other words, a Swiss Thiébaud obtaining obscurity for himself by operating in the shadow of the French Thiébaud, a French man who appears to be superior to the Swiss man in every way?

Can somebody use their own name for identity theft? It is a complicated subject.

The Swiss Thiébaud decided to move from prostitution into the legal insurance services industry. These are industries that pretend to practice the highest standards of integrity.

Comparing the business experience and qualifications of Mathieu Parreaux and Francois Thiébaud, we can see that Parreaux had graduated with a law degree and he had worked in a number of legal and banking jobs. At the time when Parreaux and Thiébaud decided to join forces, Parreaux was the greffier for a tribunal in Monthey.

Did Parreaux enter into the partnership with the more junior Thiébaud for any reason other than to usurp the name and reputation of the French Thiébaud on the board of SWATCH Group?

More significantly, in early 2023, as FINMA progressed unacceptably slowly in their investigation of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, we can see the partners created a new business entity using only Mr Thiébaud. When FINMA shut down Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, Justicia SA in April 2023, the shelf company under Mr Thiébaud was renamed to Justiva SA and began trying to recruit the former clients of the shuttered enterprise.

Why did FINMA only issue a ban against one partner, Monsieur Parreaux and not both of them? Was FINMA afraid to create a ban order with the name Francois Thiébaud in it because it is the same name as Monsieur Thiébaud at Tissot? Or did FINMA decide not to ban the Swiss Thiébaud because they knew he wasn't really in charge, he was only there for his name?

The new entity Justiva SA continued operating for another eight or nine months. How could FINMA completely fail to notice it was there? Was FINMA fooled by the name of Francois Thiébaud as a director?

Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners deceived Frontalièrs with promises of legal protection that they failed to fulfil. In the one case Arnaud Parreaux took to the federal court, he argued against minimum wages for cross-border workers.

Just as Swiss jurists exploited the French woman, it appears that Mathieu Parreaux has exploited Francois Thiébaud of Vevey as a puppet to exploit the reputation of the much larger-than-life Monsieur Thiébaud at Tissot & SWATCH Group.

Arnaud Parreaux lost case defending rogue employer

Publicity from Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners claimed the firm works for the underdog. Cross border workers from France, the Frontaliers, are frequently victims of exploitation in Switzerland. The Swiss jurists at Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners explicitly promised to help Frontaliers.

Searching records from the Swiss Federal Tribunal, we could only find one case where the name Parreaux is mentioned. The jurist for the case was Arnaud Parreaux, who was listed as a member of the team in Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA.

Reading the judgment, we see that an employer was penalized for underpayment of workers in Geneva. The employer decided to appeal the decision to the Swiss Federal Tribunal. Arnaud Parreaux was not representing the workers, he was representing the employer.

In other words, their promise to represent Frontaliers was just another lie.

Moreover, the rogue employer was an insurance sales office with five employees. The employer claimed the employees were really independent agents who were provided with desks where they could come and work for their clients. The canton and the tribunals felt that this arrangement was a sham and the employees had been underpaid by twenty thousand Swiss francs.

The Swiss Federal Tribunal was not convinced by the arguments of Arnaud Parreaux. He lost the case and the punishment from the cantonal tribunal was upheld by the Federal tribunal.

Exclusive: corruption in Tribunals, Greffiers, from protection rackets to cat whisperers

In 2022, the Transparency International Corruption Perception Index (CPI) ranked Switzerland at number seven on their list, meaning it is the seventh least corrupt country based on the methodology used for ranking. Did Switzerland achieve this favorable score due to genuine attempts to be clean or due to the effectiveness with which Swiss laws and Swiss culture help to hide the wrongdoing?

The favorable ranking from Transparency International was reported widely in the media. At the same time, most media reports also noted Transparency International's country report card had included caveats about nepotism, lobbyists and vulnerability of whistleblowers.

According to Transparency International, their scoring is based on the perception of corruption. Swiss laws on criminal speech tend to prevent the media reporting any bad news at all. This gives the public a false sense of security. In earlier blogs, we look at a series of positive news reports about Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners when the firm was launched in 2017/2018. Yet when regulators took disciplinary action against the firm in 2023, there was not one news report about the enforcement action. Without news reporting, the public perception of corruption is likely to be totally disconnected from reality. Given that Transparency International's rankings are based on the public perception, the Swiss legal system has gamed the rankings and allowed Switzerland to earn a ranking that it may not deserve.

When people do try to document the reality, they are sent to prison. Many multinational companies operate a three hundred and sixty degree review system whereby employees can give each other feedback. The human rights activist Gerhard Ulrich created a web site where Swiss citizens could write three sixty degree reviews of decisions made by their local judges. The web site was censored and a SWAT team, the elite TIGRIS unit was sent to arrest Gerhard Ulrich and take him to prison.

Trevor Kitchen is another well known spokesperson for investors' rights. In the 1990s Kitchen discovered Swiss people taking credit for his work and not properly attributing his share. Some time later he discovered the FX scandal. During Mr Kitchen's retirement in Portugal, Swiss persecutors used the European Arrest Warrant (EAW) to punish him from afar. Amnesty International published a report noting he was subject to physical and sexual abuse by Swiss authorities in 1993 and then using the EAW they tricked the police in Portugal to repeat the abuse 25 years later in 2018.

By publishing the facts below, I face the same risk of physical and sexual abuse by corrupt police and lawyerists.

If the Swiss public were fully aware of these details, would Switzerland still rate so highly on Transparency International's scale of public perception?

If Transparency International's system can be fooled so easily by states with criminal speech laws, why doesn't Transparency International develop a better methodology for ranking corruption?

Every fact I am reporting here can be found using various sources on the Internet, including the Wayback Machine and the social media profiles of the various people named below. Yet when these facts are assembled in the same article they reveal the inconvenient truth about the Swiss legal system as a whole.

In 2015, the Swiss attorney Benjamin Suter went to New Zealand to complete an LLM at Victoria University. The Victoria University of Wellington Law Review published an article by Mr Suter "Appointment, Discipline and Removal of Judges: a Comparison of the Swiss and New Zealand Judiciaries".

At the time, Mr Suter may have felt that writing the article was a rather abstract exercise. Five years later in 2020, scandal broke out in the Swiss parliament when the fascist SVP / UDC party announced they would try to remove a judge because his "behavior" was not submissive enough for their liking:

On September 23, both houses of parliament are set to appoint a new crop of judges to the Federal Court. But in the lead-up to this, the rightwing Swiss People’s Party has dropped a bombshell.

“We’re proposing to vote judge Yves Donzallaz out of office,” the leader of the party’s parliamentary group Thomas Aeschi has announced.

It reminds me of an incident from 1978 in Australia. In a previous blog, I looked at the prison escape of James Richard Loughnan and the help he received from Fr Sean Patrick O'Connell of St Paul's, Coburg.

Loughnan's next chance to win freedom came a year later when another young criminal, Mark Brandon Read, walked into a courtroom with his shotgun and kidnapped a judge to have Loughnan released. Read went on to become one of Australia's most notorious criminals, using the name Chopper Read. The movie Chopper helps us get to know him better.

Escape bid: police

28 January 1978

A man who menaced a County Court judge with a shotgun on Thursday was a "comic character Charles Chaplin would have portrayed sympathetically", a barrister told Melbourne magistrates court yesterday.

Ironically, Charlie Chaplin was accused of being a communist and fled the US to take refuge in Switzerland. He is buried at Corsier-sur-Vevey in the Canton of Vaud.

... Read had planned to hold the judge hostage while Loughnan was brought to the court and given an automatic car and a magnum pistol.

Isn't it remarkable to find the Swiss fascist party ( SVP / UDC) and Chopper Read both using the same tactics, kidnapping and blackmailing judges, to get their way?

Suter had anticipated that moment five years prior in the introduction of his paper:

The author explains how, in Switzerland, openly political and other considerations are weighed in the course of electing judges and how the appointment of lay judges is balanced with an active role of law clerks (Greffier). In contrast, New Zealand has a proud tradition of apolitical judicial appointments that are made solely based on merit. The author criticises that Swiss judges are elected for a term of office, whereas New Zealand judges enjoy the security of tenure and thus, a greater judicial independence.

Mr Suter asserts that the judges are effectively an extension of the political parties and the law clerks (Greffier) take a more active role to prevent the judges indulging themselves. In fact, the word judge looks similar in English and French but it is not really the same thing at all. The term law clerk is used for convenience in English but it is not really a perfect translation either. The role performed by a law clerk in an English-derived courtroom is very different to the role performed by a Greffier in a Swiss courtroom. Therefore, using the term law clerk is confusing and it is better to simply refer to them by the native name, Greffier in French or Gerichtsschreiber in German.

In section IV, appointment of judges, Suter tells us:

The formal requirements to be a federal court judge are scant: any person eligible to vote, that is to say, anyone over the age of 18 who is not incapacitated, may be appointed as a federal court judge.

In other words, a judge does not need to have a law degree or any experience working in a court.

Suter goes on

Typically, lay judges will only be part of a panel of judges, together with judges holding a law degree. It may happen though that a lay judge must act as a single judge as was the case in X v Canton of Thurgau, where both the President and the Vice-President of the District Court had recused themselves. The Federal Supreme Court held that to have a case adjudicated by a lay judge is not in violation of the right to a fair trial as long as a trained law clerk participates in the management of the proceedings and the decision making. The court noted that in the Canton of Thurgau – as in many other cantons – the law clerk may actively participate in the deliberations on the judgment.

In Switzerland, it is intended that these lay judges, without legal qualifications, bring some diversity to the system and avoid the problem of career jurists ruling over society like royal princes.

In English-speaking countries, trials have a jury and the people in the jury are non-lawyers.

The judges in Switzerland are appointed by a political party for a period of four to ten years. Members of a jury in English-speaking countries are selected randomly and replaced for each new trial. Both lay judges and juries are alternative ways of bringing non-lawyers into the decision making process of the tribunal.

The idea that lay judges make the tribunal more in touch with the community is something of a myth. The judges, including lay judges, are under some control from their political party. The political parties are under control from their most significant donors. Look at Elon Musk and his attempt to create the America Party.

Caroline Kuhnlein-Hofmann was the judge in charge of the civil court in the Canton of Vaud. In another blog post, I demonstrated how Kuhnlein-Hofmann is a member of the Green Party along with one of my competitors, Gerhard Andrey of the company Liip SA. Moreover, Mr Andrey is also a politician for the Green party in the federal parliament. One of Mr Andrey's employees, Didier Raboud is another Debian Developer. It is an incestuous web of corruption indeed.

Look specifically at the payments from the so-called judge's salary into the Green Party's Swiss bank account. In Australia, when a politician is elected, they have a similar obligation to give some of their salary back to their political party. While this woman is using the title "judge", she is more like a politician and a servant of her political party. The payments to the Green Party demonstrate that she has an obligation to the party, she has to give them money and judgments. This is not speculation, the SVP / UDC party said the same thing very loudly in 2020.

In the specific analysis of Kuhnlein-Hofmann, I presented the minutes from the meeting of her fellow politicians who promoted her to be a judge on 3 March 2010.

Was she working as a lawyer before she was appointed as a judge?

The Wayback machine has a snapshot of the website for the Ordre des Avocats Vaudois (bar association Canton Vaud) from before her appointment to the tribunal. Searching for the name Kuhnlein we only found her husband.

Suter has reminded us again of the importance of the Greffier to complement the work of the unqualified lay judges. But what if the judges are not real lawyers and the Greffiers were not trustworthy either?

Look out for the blind leading the blind.

Suter tells us that the Greffier participates in the deliberations of the judge or judges. In cases where a single lay judge is hearing a trial, the Federal Supreme Court requires the Greffier to be involved in the deliberations. Therefore, the ability for rogue Greffiers to participate in deliberations would bring the whole system and all the judgements into disrepute. It all comes down like a house of cards.

Benjamin Suter, the author of the report, works for Walder Wyss, the same legal firm that acted as liquidator for Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners. Suter tells us:

In some cantons, law clerks are even allowed to act in place of judges in some respects, for instance in matters of urgency. In the Canton of Valais/Wallis, law clerks (Greffier) may substitute district court judges.

Remarkably, Mathieu Parreaux, the founder of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners was also a Greffier in the Canton of Valais, the same Canton where a Greffier can act as a judge and pass judgments on their own without any involvement of the real judge.

A snapshot of Mathieu Parreaux's biography, captured by the Wayback Machine, tells us that Parreaux was still working as a Greffier at the same time that he was selling legal fees insurance to the public.

Mathieu Parreaux began his career in 2010, training in accounting and tax law in a fiduciary capacity at the renowned Scheizerweg Finance. Following this experience, he held a KYC officer position at several private banks in Geneva, such as Safra Sarasin and Audi Bank.

After completing his banking experience, he worked at law firms, notably at Ochsner et associés in Geneva and Besselegal in Nyon. Finally, he gained further experience at the Daudin&CIE real estate agency in Geneva.

In 2017, pursuing his desire to bring an innovative perspective and practice to the field of law, Mathieu founded his law firm, Parreaux&Associés. His clientele includes individuals and legal entities, both nationally and internationally.

That same year, Mathieu took up his duties as lead Greffier at the Tribunal of Monthey in Canton Valais, thus expanding the Municipality's conciliation authority.

He also began teaching law at the private Moser College in Geneva.

In early 2018, Parreaux & Partners merged with Mr. François Thiébaud's service company. By combining their assets and expertise, the new firm Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners established additional tools to achieve its primary goal: to represent your interests in all legal matters, while providing a personal service.

Mathieu practices primarily in corporate law, namely contract law, tax law, corporate law, and banking and finance law.

Mathieu also practices health law (medical law, pharmaceutical law, and forensic medicine).

Therefore, by giving Mr Parreaux payments of legal fees protection insurance, people would feel they are gaining influence over somebody with the power of a judge.

In the tribunal of Monthey, the judge was Antoine Pitteloud ( left / socialist party) and the Deputy Judge was Roland Maire ( PDC / the Center party).

Notice in 2021, Mr Parreaux was putting his own name at the bottom of the renewal invoices sent to clients. In 2022, he changed the business name to Justicia SA and had one of his employees put their name at the bottom of the invoice letters.

When thinking about the incredible conflict of interest, it is a good moment to remember the story of John Smyth QC, the British barrister who achieved the role of Recorder, a low-ranking judge, in the British courts while simultaneously being a Reader in the Church of England and a prolific pedophile.

While Walder Wyss was the liquidator of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners they were simultaneously involved in litigation against clients of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners. This is another outrageous conflict of interest.

After gaining access to client records through the liquidation, they had unreasonable advantages in using those records during unrelated litigation.

When FINMA publicly banned Mathieu Parreaux from selling insurance for two years, they did not make any public comment on his role or disqualification as a Greffier. Does this mean he can continue working as a Greffier as long as he does not sell insurance at the same time?

In the Lawyer X scandal in Australia, hundreds of judgments had to be overturned due to a miscarriage of justice. If the Swiss public were aware of the full circumstances then every judgment involving Mathieu Parreaux or Walder Wyss could also be invalidated. This appears to be one of the reasons for the intense secrecy about the JuristGate affair.

During my research, I found two other employees of the legal fee insurance scheme who were also employed in a tribunal as a Greffier. It looks like there was a revolving door between the illegal legal insurance scheme and the tribunal.

What about the Greffier who created an invalid judgment trying to transfer a trademark that had already been canceled? The signature of the Greffier Mélanie Bron appears beside the signature of Caroline Kuhnlein-Hofmann in the invalid judgment. Does Madame Bron have any conflicts of interest, political engagement or side businesses?

The Cantonal Archives tell us they have a copy of Madame Bron's thesis on family law. There is no academic record of her working on trademark law. The thesis is cited in various other research works and it is mentioned in a 2004 edition of Uniscope, the UNIL newsletter.

A news report from 2018 tells us that Madame Bron was trying to divert more Cantonal police to Blonay, the village where she resides. She is pictured with other local figures Jean-Marc Nicolet, André Grivel and mayor Bertrand Cherix of the Parti libéral-radical (PLR). That is the same political party as the judge Richard Oulevay.

Is it appropriate for somebody with the powers of a judge to try and influence the deployment of police resources to suit their personal circumstances or should they be concerned with distributing police resources throughout the canton at large?

In the abstract of Benjamin Suter's report, he told us that the Greffier is meant to help keep the politically-affiliated judges honest. If the Greffiers are not honest either, the system described by Suter is a sham.

We found Mélanie Bron listed as a teacher for l'Ecole de la Conscience which claims to be the only French-speaking school of animal communication. Here is her biography from the web site:

Imagine for a moment that you are in the middle of a legal dispute and your brother calls up the Greffier / cat whisperer and asks her to take his cat for a walk. Hypothetically, he pays ten thousand Swiss francs for her to interpret his cat and you cross your fingers and hope that your company's trademark will be granted well-known status like Coca-cola or Disney.

It needs to be emphasized that the book value of your trademark increases by millions of francs with a declaration of well known status under the Paris convention. Any fee that is hypothetically paid for cat whispering is trivial in comparison to the profit for your organization.

In other countries, judges and senior employees of a tribunal are prohibited from running businesses on the side. When a jury is deliberating they are usually sequestered in a hotel to prevent any messages being conveyed through family and the media.

Judgments in Switzerland are typically secret. Many more disputes are settled secretly at mediation without any judgment at all. The Greffier has access to all these secret settlement accords. What if Mathieu Parreaux was editing secret settlement documents on the same personal laptop he was using for Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners? Where did the laptops go when the firm was shut down?

When FINMA published their judgment against Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, they redacted almost every paragraph.

By joining this scandal directly into the cantonal tribunal, using this 2015 report from Benjamin Suter at Walder Wyss, liquidator of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, we have proven, beyond reasonable doubt, the entire Swiss legal system smells like a protection racket.

They pretend to be a country and they act like a student union. I graduated from the National Union of Students in Australia, traveled half way around the world to Switzerland, I thought student politics was behind me and I found a bona fide kangaroo court system at work in the alps.

Dog ate the judgment

Here is the letter from the Swiss Intellectual Property Institute (IGE / IPI) telling the judges, greffiers and cat whisperers that the so-called Debian "judgment" can not be processed:

The judge Richard Oulevey sent another letter acknowledging that their so-called judgment is impossible to follow, in other words, it is on par with witchcraft.

It was the responsibility of the Greffier, Mélanie Bron to communicate with all the parties in the case and communicate with the Intellectual Property Institute to make sure there really was a trademark registration in effect. If she can communicate with cats and dogs, why couldn't she communicate with the IPI?

If running a side business as a pet psychic undermines her work at the tribunal, is it time to give up one job or the other?

Remember, over $120,000 from Debian bank accounts went to these kangaroo courts but when volunteers arrived at DebConf23 in India, they were asked to contribute their own money to some expenses. Abraham Raji apparently didn't have a few extra dollars for the day trip, he was left alone without a life jacket and he drowned.

The Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners scandal went on for six years from 2017 to 2023 and everybody in the legal profession seemed to know about it from the beginning. Therefore, what other scandals are going on right now that the rest of us don't know about yet?

Lawyer X, Law Firm X and Elon Musk's X: scandals linked by Old Xaverian

Just when you thought it was safe to go to court, think again. Your lawyer might not have your best interests at heart and even worse, they may be working for the other side.

In 2014, journalists discovered Victoria Police had a secret informer, a mole snitching on the underworld, identified by the code name Lawyer X.

Initially, police were so concerned they sought a restraining order to prevent the media from publishing anything about the scandal. Police even sought to have the code name Lawyer X suppressed from publication.

It was beyond embarassing: not only did police have the burden of protecting their secret informer, they may also have to protect her relatives who share the same name. The most notable among them, the informer's uncle, James Gobbo, a supreme court judge who subsequently served as Governor for the State of Victoria.

There is absolutely no suggestion that Lawyer X's relatives had anything to do with her misdeeds. Nonetheless, the clients she betrayed were the biggest crooks in town, until, of course, her unethical behavior gave them the opportunity to have those convictions overturned and present themselves as model citizens once again. Any relatives or former business associates of Lawyer X, including the former governor, would be in danger for the rest of their lives.

James Gobbo and his son James Gobbo junior are both Old Xaverians, graduates of Melbourne's elite Jesuit school for boys, like my father and I.

Lawyer X was eventually revealed to be Nicola Gobbo, a graduate of the elite girls school Genazzano FCJ College. My aunt, that is my father's sister, also went to Genazzano.

Alumni communications typically refer to Old Xaverians with the symbols "OX" and the year of graduation, for example, "OX96" for somebody who graduated in 1996.

Whenever a scandal like this arises, if the suspect is a graduate of one of these elite schools, the newspapers will be very quick to dramatize the upper class background. The case of Lawyer X was a head and shoulders above any other scandal: a former prefect and class captain who made a career out of partying with drug lords, having their children and simultaneously bugging their conversations for the police.

Stories like this are inconvenient for those elite schools but in reality, I don't feel the schools are responsible when one of these unlucky outcomes arises. The majority of students are getting a head start in life but there is simply nothing that any school can do to prevent one or two alumni going off the rails like this.

Having been through this environment myself, I couldn't believe what I was seeing in 2023 when the Swiss financial regulator (FINMA) voluntarily published a few paragraphs from a secret judgment, using the code name "X" to refer to a whole law office (cabinet juridique in French) of jurists in Geneva who had ripped off their clients.

The Gobbo family, Genazzano FCJ College and alumni have finally been vindicated. The misdeeds of Lawyer X pale in comparison to the crimes of the Swiss law firm X.

Remember, Lawyer X operated in secrecy, her identity only known to a small number of handlers inside the police department. Thanks to my own research, I was able to prove that the activities of Law firm X were fully known to the bar association and the financial regulator for at least two years before they belatedly closed the firm.

Lawyer X claims she contributed evidence to the arrest of 386 suspects during her time as a police informer. Law firm X had over twenty thousand clients at the time they were shut down. They admit that client records fell into the hands of Walder Wyss, a rival law firm engaged in legal proceedings against some of the clients who were abandoned by the Swiss jurists.

Lawyer X was a woman and in her most recent bid for compensation, she claimed she was exploited by the police. Law firm X trafficked at least one woman from France to come and work in Geneva helping them promote an unauthorized insurance service to residents of both France and Switzerland.

Lawyer X was a former member of a political party. One of the jurists from Law firm X was working for the rogue law office at the same time that he was a member of Geneva city council. He is a member of the same political party as the Swiss president from that era.

In 1993, Lawyer X was an editor of Farrago, Australia's leading student newspaper. Law firm X used the Swiss media to write positive stories about their company. When the same company was outlawed, nanny-state laws prevented the media reporting anything at all about its downfall. Ironically, one of my former clients was also an editor of Farrago before he became Australia's Minister for Finance. The word Farrago gives a fascinating insight into the life of Lawyer X. Here is a sample sentence using the word Farrago in the Cambridge dictionary:

... told us a farrago of lies

When FINMA revealed the secret judgment shuttering Law Firm X, Urban Angehrn, the FINMA director, resigned citing health reasons. His dramatic resignation helped bury news stories about the Law firm X judgment. In Australia, a number of chief commissioners have resigned. In fact, Victoria Police have been through three leaders in the last year.

Who predicted Elon Musk would acquire Twitter?

Link between institutional abuse, Swiss jurists, Debianism and FSFE

Friday, an expert in the subject of persecution asked me a question: is there a link between the paedophiles and the Swiss jurists?

I reflected on the subject and I found several links between the cultural problems.

At the same time, the BBC published a report on Justin Welby, former head of the Anglican church. He resigned because of the John Smyth QC scandal. John Smyth QC was a powerful lawyer who had also been a judge for six years. Smyth simultaneously had the role of Reader in the church.

I wrote several blogs about the links between the Code of Conduct gaslighting and the document Crimen Sollicitationis.

The pope sent the Crimen Sollicitationis to each diocese in 1962. It was a secret document. Article 70 insists on total secrecy about abuse:

70. All these official communications shall always be made under the secret of the Holy Office; and, since they are of the utmost importance for the common good of the Church, the precept to make them is binding under pain of grave [sin].

Moreover, we are not even supposed to discuss the existance of the document:

TO BE KEPT CAREFULLY IN THE SECRET ARCHIVE OF THE CURIA FOR INTERNAL USE.

Gerhard Ulrich was a human rights activist. He published a list of judges, their mistakes and their conflicts of interest. In Switzerland, the conflicts of interest are a private subject under article 173(3) of the Swiss criminal code:

The accused is not permitted to lead evidence in support of and is criminally liable for statements that are made or disseminated with the primary intention of accusing someone of disreputable conduct without there being any public interest or any other justified cause, and particularly where such statements refer to a person’s private or family life.

In 2001, the secret document became widely known.

When FINMA published a jugement against the Swiss jurists in 2023, they redacted the names, they redacted the dates and even worse, they redacted most of the paragraphs.

A little bit like Crimen Sollicitationis, certainly.

We find the same problems in the case of John Smyth, Anglican church and Justin Welby:

From 2013, the Church of England knew “at the highest level” about the abuse, the report says, but failed to refer it either to the police or to the relevant authorities in South Africa, where Smyth died while under investigation by the police.

The Swiss authorities, the bar association of Geneva and FINMA had knowledge of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners since 2021 or earlier. Why did they redact the majority of paragraphs from the judgment? They wanted to hide their pre-existing knowledge of the scandal.

Why did the church authorities or Swiss authorities protect people like John Smyth QC and Mathieu Parreaux? Men like that have knowledge of all the scandals and institutional failings throughout their career. We discussed the same question in the (leaked) debian-private mailing list. Each time somebody is bullied and punished by the overlords, there is a risk that they will publish a full copy of debian-private.

When I acquired Swiss citizenship, I had to take an oath. ( la promesse solennelle vaudois, Loi sur le droit de cité vaudois 2018).

You promise to be true to the federal constitution and the constitution of the Canton of Vaud. You promise to maintain and defend on every occasion and with all your powers the rights, freedoms and independence of your new country, to develop and advance her reputation and wealth and equally to avoid all that could cause her loss or damage.

There is a problem: after the death of my father, racist Swiss women started writing gossip. The rudeness of selfish and arrogant people who impose upon my family at a time of grief outweighs the seriousness of the oath.

Swiss authorities closed the legal protection insurance. The director of FINMA resigned with a payout of 581,000 Swiss francs, but he did not provide replacement lawyers for the clients.

At the same time, the racist Swiss women demanded a publication.

FSFE uses the trademark of the FSF without authorisation. They received a bequest of EUR 150,000. They declared the bequest a secret subject.

The Swiss citizenship oath implies that we have to find a private solution to the Debian crisis, but the racist Swiss women wanted a publication of lies after the death of my father.

The truth is clear, my father died.

In 2018, the intern Renata D'Avila published a blog about the risks of location tracking services. She chose a quote from the French philosopher Pierre-Joseph Proudhon:

To be GOVERNED is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, ... then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonored.

In Australia, Lilie James rejected her boyfriend's demand for location services on her phone and she was clubbed to death. My intern had predicted the crime with her use of the quote alongside her description of problems with Google.

According to the Debian Social Contract, point 3:

We won't hide problems.

but the Debianists threatened my intern by sending her secret emails:

Debian "Community Team" (political police) to Renata, private email of 13 June 2018: Reinforcing positive attitudes and steps that you see in Debian towards women inclusion can also motivate yourself, the other Debian contributors, and possible newcomers, to go on working in that strategy and foster diversity in Debian. This does not mean to avoid criticism or hiding problems, but providing a more accurate vision of how the Brazilian Debian community works towards our common goals.

The threat:

Finally, we would like to say a word about the participation in Debian events that is financed (at least in part) by Debian. We believe that a matching fund, (Mini)DebConf bursary or any other financial help to attend a Debian event is a big endorsement from Debian to the person who receives it, and we believe that your behaviour in MiniDebConf Curitiba 2018 did not match the excellence that we expect for a bursary applicant. Thus, we are considering requesting a rejection of your application to the bursaries team.

Renata did not come back to any Debian events.

In Australia's Royal Commission into Institutional Abuse, we find the same thing:

Culture of secrecy

We are satisfied that there was a prevailing culture within the Archdiocese, led by Archbishop Little, of dealing with complaints internally and confidentially to avoid scandal to the Church.

and again between the priests and their victims:

He said that, on both occasions, Father Daniel encouraged BTH to remain silent by reference to the seal of confession.

The seal of confession is like the Code of Conduct gaslighting in the free software projects. If the victim doesn't maintain the silence, they will be blocked from becoming a priest or a developer.

Frans Pop published his suicide note the night before the Debian Day anniversary. When colleagues discussed his death outside the secret debian-private mailing list, they suffered immediate reprisals.

Unfortunately we also had the misfortune to read information on twitter that, to our current knowledge, must have been gathered from this -private list. We think this a very unfortunate event that is missing every kind of common sense and decency, and therefore saw forced to suspend the accounts of the people leaked from membership on this list.

Pascal/Lia Daobing: You both are no longer subscribed to debian-private, for the next 4 weeks. The one and only reason this list exists is to have a place where we can share information that is not immediately leaked into the public. Twitter is not -private. Please, in the future, respect the rules of the environment you are in, especially in such a special case like this.

The next death was Adrian von Bidder. It was Palm Sunday, the same day as the marriage between Carla and I. Adrian von Bidder died in Switzerland and the official report has not been published. Yet.

Switzerland and the Catholic Church both openly promote their culture of secrecy. Debianists have claimed to be committed to transparency so the imposition of secrecy in Debian demonstrates an even greater lack of integrity.

He has done a lot of work for the project, invested a lot of his time and appearently (read the statement of his parents) the Debian project was a very important part of his life.

The last words in the last email of Frans Pop, sent the night before Debian Day:

French woman (frontalière) trafficked to promote unauthorised cross border Swiss insurance

Today, I published a blog on human trafficking and modern slavery. In effect, all forms of exploitation, combined with a voyage of any kind, can be considered as a possible case of human trafficking, even if the voyage is completed using a regular passenger train or flight.

The victim, a French woman had worked seven years in an insurance company in Lyon.

According to the FINMA judgment, the Swiss jurists who were selling the insurance without authorisation were under surveillance since 2021 or earlier.

At the last minute, before FINMA shut down their scam in 2023, the Swiss jurists had created a new company Justiva SA and they employed the cross-border worker (frontalière) to help them.

The victim had acquired various rights due to seven years of service at her previous employer and all those benefits are foregone if a worker quits to change employer. This is especially true if a worker in France quits their job to take a higher salary in Geneva.

The victim started her new job in Geneva in February 2023 and FINMA closed the insurance company in the first week of April 2023. She was still in her probation period when FINMA belatedly shut down this scam.

The FINMA judgment says the rogue firm was immediately shut at the beginning of April. During the probationary period, the victim would have been entitled to one week's pay in lieu of notice. According to the victim's LinkedIn profile, she continued with the new firm Justiva SA for three months until the end of June 2023. We found details of this woman in a backup copy of the Justiva SA web site, the Justicia SA web site and LinkedIn.

Anybody who wants to work in a Swiss insurance company normally needs to complete a three year apprenticeship or diploma in Switzerland. The selection process is normally highly competitive. This woman clearly did not have the Swiss qualifications. When the Swiss jurists offered her a job promoting legal insurance, without any Swiss qualifications, she must have felt she had won the lottery.

The financial regulator went to great lengths to obfuscate the failure of the insurance company run by Swiss jurists. Did they make any effort to prevent former employees talking about the failure?

The outgoing director of FINMA had previously worked for Zurich Insurance. Miraculously, in the same month that Urban Angehrn departed FINMA for health reasons, the woman was given a job at his former employer.

It feels miraculous that Zurich would spontaneously offer this opportunity to somebody who had not passed through the same Swiss training as other employees.

Promoting an unauthorized insurance for cross border workers appears to simultaneously violate laws in both Switzerland and France. If the woman was tricked to leave a stable job in Lyon and do this illegal work then she has been exploited. As the exploitation occurred over an international border, it is a clear clase of human trafficking.

French legal code Art. 225-4-1:

Human trafficking is the act of recruiting a person, transporting them, hosting them or welcoming them for the purposes of exploitation using any of the means following ...

The exploitation mentioned in the first point can be any of the following ... or to compel the victim to commit any crime or offence

For the purposes of the French law on human trafficking, creating a situation where a cross-border worker is compelled to sell unauthorised insurance is just as bad as using them for sexual slavery. The loss of their previous employment benefits and the terms of the probationary period have the effect of compelling them to continue working for their new master even if they discover it is a scam.

Did FINMA realize that a French woman was human trafficked in violation of modern slavery laws right under their noses in a firm they had been so slow to shut down? Is that the reason the woman appears to have found a new job so conveniently while the clients got nothing?

When I saw this, I remembered my research into the Catholic abuse scandal and the practices used to make secret pay-offs.

Urban Angehrn (FINMA director) announced resignation at same moment Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners decision published

FINMA closed the business of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA in April 2023 but they did not publish their judgment at the same time.

6 September 2023 they announced the resigntion of Urban Angehrn, director of FINMA since 1 November 2021.

Challenges that were successfully overcome under his leadership include, in particular, [ ... snip ... ], the supervision of supplementary health insurance geared towards client protection and the conclusion of complex enforcement proceedings.

19 September 2023 FINMA published the judgment against Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA. They suppressed the names and dates in the document.

Mr Angehrn departed on 30 September.

They wrote that Mr Angehrn had closed the business of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA "successfully". But the clients received nothing.

He had shut down just one single scam in almost two years as director of FINMA.

Thanks to the financial accounts for 2023, we found the director's salary CHF 602,000 and the termination payment CHF 581,000.

”Being able to contribute to the sustainable improvement of the quality of the Swiss financial centre as CEO of FINMA was a unique challenge for me, and one that I tackled with all my might. However, the high and permanent stress level had health consequences. I have considered my decision carefully and have now decided to step down,” says Urban Angehrn.

He resigned due to stress and he received CHF 581,000 as a leaving gift. The clients received nothing.

Credit Suisse collapse obfuscated Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners scandal

15 March 2023, the value of shares in Credit Suisse plunged. Four days later UBS announced the purchase of their competitor Credit Suisse.

It was an enormous scandal for Switzerland.

The risk of a scandal had been known for some months. For a few weeks after 15 March 2023, the Swiss media published multiple reports about Credit Suisse each day.

Two weeks later, on 4 April 2023, the trade registry in Canton Geneva received the decision of FINMA for the immediate liquidation of Parreaux, Thièbaud & Partners / Justicia SA.

We looked at the web site of RTS (Swiss public broadcaster) using the Wayback Machine. Below, we publish some screen shots from the week from 3 to 7 April 2023. We didn't find any reports about the closure of Parreaux, Thièbaud & Partners.

20,000 clients had suddenly lost their Swiss legal services insurance. Some of the insured clients were in the middle of trials and other procedures funded by the insurance.

The Swiss media helped the jurists with free publicity in 2018.

But the media said nothing when the jurists were shut down.

According to the judgment of 4 April 2023, FINMA had knowledge of the situation at Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners since 2021. For two years they looked for a solution. They didn't find a solution but they had the chance to do a cover-up when the Credit Suisse crisis arrived.

Provision of insurance services without autorisation

Judgment of the financial markets regulator FINMA de 2023

Summary

Following numerous reports that Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners was operating an insurance business without authorisation, FINMA conducted investigations that led to the opening of enforcement proceedings. In fact, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners offered legal subscriptions for companies and individuals, which provided unlimited access to various legal services for an annual fee. In addition, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners also financed, in certain situations, advances on costs to pay lawyers' and court fees in the form of a loan at a 0% interest rate. According to its general terms and conditions, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners then obtained reimbursement of this loan from the legal costs to be received at the end of the proceedings in the event of victory. In the event of loss, the balance constituted a non-repayable loan. With regard to the areas of law that were partially covered and to disputes prior to the signing of the contract, the claim was partially covered by 50%.

During the procedure, FINMA appointed an investigation officer within Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners. While the investigation officer's work had already begun, the activities of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners were taken over by Justicia SA in [late 2021 or early 2022]. From that point on, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners ceased its activities for new clients. Clients who had taken out a subscription with Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners prior to the month of (…) were informed when renewing their subscription that their subscription had been transferred to Justicia SA. FINMA then extended the procedure and the mandate of the investigation officer to the latter. The business model of Justicia SA is almost identical to that of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners. The main difference concerns the terms of repayment of the loan which, according to the general terms and conditions of Justicia SA, was also repayable in the event of defeat according to the "terms agreed between the parties".

The report of the investigating officer contains in particular a detailed analysis of the activity of the two companies as well as a sample examination of client files.

By decision of [April?] 2023, FINMA held that the conditions set by case law to qualify an insurance activity were met and therefore found that Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, Justicia SA as well as Mathieu Parreaux, managing partner of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners and director of Justicia SA, carried out an insurance activity without having the required authorisation.

FINMA then found that Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, Justicia SA and Mathieu Parreaux had carried out insurance activities without the necessary authorisation, appointed a liquidator and ordered the immediate liquidation of the two companies. FINMA also ordered the confiscation of the liquidation proceeds in favour of the Confederation, ordered Mathieu Parreaux to refrain from carrying out, without the necessary authorisation, any activity subject to authorisation under the financial market laws and published the order to refrain for a period of 2 years on its website.

1. Engaging in insurance transactions without the right to do so

(55) The LSA is intended in particular to protect policyholders against the risks of insolvency of insurance companies and against abuse². Insurance companies established in Switzerland that carry out direct insurance or reinsurance activities must first obtain authorisation from FINMA and are subject to its supervision³. Where special circumstances justify it, FINMA may release from supervision an insurance company for which the insurance activity is of little economic importance or only affects a limited circle of policyholders⁴.

(56) In accordance with Art. 2 para. 4 LSA, it is up to the Federal Council to define the activity in Switzerland in the field of insurance. In an ordinance dated 9 November 2005, the Federal Council clarified that, regardless of the method and place of conclusion of the contract, there is an insurance activity in Switzerland when a natural or legal person domiciled in Switzerland is the policyholder or insured⁵. Furthermore, the LSA applies to all insurance activities of Swiss insurance companies, both for insurance activities in Switzerland and abroad. Thus, even insurance contracts concluded from Switzerland but which relate exclusively to risks located abroad with policyholders domiciled abroad are subject to the LSA. In such cases, there may also be concurrent foreign supervisory jurisdiction at the policyholder's domicile⁶.

(57) Since the legislature did not define the concept of insurance, the Federal Court developed five cumulative criteria to define it⁷: the existence of a risk, the service provided by the policyholder consisting of the payment of a premium, the insurance service, the autonomous nature of the transaction and the compensation of risks on the basis of statistical data. It is appropriate to examine below whether the services provided by Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners and Justicia SA respectively meet the criteria of the given definition of the insurance activity.

(58) The existence of a risk: this is the central element for the qualification of insurance. The object of an insurance is always a risk or a danger, i.e. an event whose occurrence is possible but uncertain. The risk or its financial consequences are transferred from the insured to the insurer⁸. The uncertainty assumed by the insurer typically consists of determining whether and when the event that triggers the obligation to pay benefits occurs. The uncertainty can also result from the consequences of an event (already certain)⁹. In a judgment of 21 January 2011, the Federal Court, for example, acknowledged that the rental guarantee insurer who undertakes to pay the lessor the amount of the rental guarantee in place of the tenant while reserving the right to take action against the latter to obtain reimbursement of the amount paid, bears the risk of the tenant's insolvency. Thus, the risk of non-payment by the tenant is sufficient in itself to qualify this risk as an insurance risk¹⁰.

(59) In this case, the purpose of the legal subscriptions offered by Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA is the transfer of a risk from the clients to Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA. Indeed, when the client concludes a legal subscription, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA assumes the risk of having to provide legal services and bear administrative costs, respectively lawyers' fees, court fees or expert fees incurred by legal matters. When a client reports a claim, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA bears the risk and therefore the financial consequences arising from the need for legal assistance in question. In cases where there is a claim prior to the conclusion of the subscription, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA will cover 50% of the costs for this claim, but will continue to bear the risk for any future disputes that may arise during the term of the subscription. In this sense, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA provide services that go beyond those offered by traditional legal protection insurance, which, however, has no influence on the existence of an uncertain risk transferred to Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA upon conclusion of the subscription. Furthermore, it was found during the investigation that, in at least one case, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners covered the fees without entering into a loan agreement with the client; it was therefore not provided for these advances to be repaid, contrary to what was provided for in the general terms and conditions of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners. Furthermore, it could not be established that the new wording of the general terms and conditions of Justicia SA providing for the repayment of the loan regardless of the outcome of the proceedings had been implemented. To date, no loan has been repaid. These elements allow us to conclude that the risk of having to pay for legal services and advances on fees are borne by Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners and Justicia SA in place of the clients. Finally, in accordance with the case law of the Federal Court, even if the loan granted by Justicia SA is accompanied by an obligation to repay, the simple fact of bearing the risk of insolvency of its clients is sufficient to justify the classification of insurance risk.

(60) The insured's benefit (the premium) and the insurance benefit: In order to qualify a contract as an insurance contract, it is essential that the policyholder's obligation to pay the premiums is offset by an obligation on the part of the insurer to provide benefits. The insured must therefore be entitled to the insurer's benefit at the time of the occurrence of the insured event¹¹. To date, the Federal Court has not ruled on the question of whether the promise to provide a service (assistance, advice, etc.) constitutes an insurance benefit. However, recent doctrine shows that the provision of services can also be considered as insurance benefits. Furthermore, this position is confirmed and defended by the Federal Council with regard to legal protection insurance, which it defined in Art. 161 OS as follows: "By the legal protection insurance contract, the insurance company undertakes, against payment of a premium, to reimburse the costs incurred by legal matters or to provide services in such matters"¹².

(61) In this case, when a client enters into a legal subscription contract with Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA, he agrees to pay an annual premium which then allows him to have access to a catalogue of services depending on the subscription chosen. Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA undertakes for their part to provide legal assistance to the client if necessary, provided that the conditions for taking charge of the case are met. Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA leaves itself a wide margin of discretion in deciding whether it is a case of prior art or whether the case has little chance of success. In these cases, the services remain partially covered, up to 50%. This approach is more generous than the practice of legal insurance companies on the market. In fact, cases of prior art are not in principle covered by legal protection insurance and certain areas are also often excluded from the range of services included in the contract.

(62) The autonomous nature of the transaction: The autonomy of the transaction is essential to the insurance business, even though the nature of an insurance transaction does not disappear simply because it is linked in the same agreement to services of another type. In order to determine whether the insurance service is presented simply as an ancillary agreement or a modality of the entire transaction, the respective importance of the two elements of the contract in the specific case must be taken into account and this must be assessed in the light of the circumstances¹³.

(63) In this case, the obligation for Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA to provide legal services to clients who have subscribed to the subscriptions and to bear administrative costs, respectively lawyers' fees, court fees or expert fees does not represent a commitment that would be incidental or complementary to another existing contract or to another predominant service between Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA and the clients. On the contrary, the investigation showed that the legal subscriptions offered are autonomous contracts.

(64) Risk compensation based on statistical data: Finally, the case law requires, as another characteristic of the insurance business, that the company compensates the risks assumed in accordance with the laws of statistics. The requirements set by the Federal Court for this criterion are not always formulated uniformly in judicial practice. The Federal Court does not require a correct actuarial calculation but rather risk compensation based on statistical data¹⁴. Furthermore, it has specified that it is sufficient for the risk compensation to be carried out according to the law of large numbers and according to planning based on the nature of the business¹⁵. In another judgment¹⁶, the Federal Court adopted a different approach and considered that the criterion of risk compensation based on statistical data is met when the income from the insurance business allows expenses to be covered while leaving a safety margin. Finally, in another judgment¹⁷, the High Court deduced from the fact that the products were offered to an indeterminate circle of people that the risks would be logically distributed among all customers according to the laws of statistics and large numbers¹⁸.

(65) In this case, the risks assumed by Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA are offset by the laws of statistics, at the very least by the compensation of risks according to the law of large numbers. Knowing that only a very small part of their clientele will use the services provided by Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA, the latter are counting on the fact that the income from the contributions from legal subscriptions will be used to cover the expenses incurred for clients whose cases must be handled by Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA while leaving a safety margin. Indeed, the analysis of the files revealed that when a client reports a case to Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA, the costs incurred to handle the case are at least three times higher than the contribution paid. Support in this proportion is only possible by assuming that only a few clients will need legal assistance and by ensuring that all contributions are used to cover these costs. (…).

(66) (…) The investigation, however, revealed that there is indeed an economic adequacy between the services provided to clients by Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA and the subscription fees it collects. In this way, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA offsets its own risks, namely the costs related to the legal services it provides as well as the risk of not obtaining repayment of the loan granted to the client, by the diversification of risks that occurs when a large number of corresponding transactions are concluded, i.e. according to the law of large numbers. In view of the above, there is no doubt that the risk compensation criterion is met within the framework of the business model of Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners / Justicia SA.

(69) (…) In view of the above, it is established that Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners and Justicia SA have exercised, respectively exercise, an insurance activity within the meaning of Art. 2 para. 1 let. a in relation to Art. 3 para. 1 LSA and Art. 161 OS without having the required authorisation from FINMA. Indeed, upon conclusion of a subscription, clients can request legal services from Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners/Justicia SA against payment of an annual premium. In addition to these services, the latter grant a loan to clients to cover legal costs and lawyers' fees. Although these loans are repayable "according to the agreed terms", none of these terms appear to exist in practice and no loan repayments have been recorded. Finally, the mere fact of bearing the risk of insolvency of clients is sufficient for the insurance risk criterion to be met. Furthermore, in view of the current number of legal subscription contracts held by Justicia SA, the turnover generated by its legal subscriptions and the fact that Justicia SA, and before it Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, offers its services to an unlimited number of persons, there are no special circumstances within the meaning of Art. 2 para. 3 LSA allowing Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners and Justicia SA to be released from supervision under Art. 2 para. 1 LSA.

GCHQ puzzles & FINMA Swiss secrets solved by the Irish

Each year the British spies at GCHQ share a puzzle in a Christmas card.

In 2016, an Irishman called David McBryan found the solution to the British puzzle.

In Septmeber 2023, FINMA, the Swiss financial regulator, published a dossier about the JuristGate affair. They redacted the names of the enterprises. They redacted the dates in the dossier.

When Gaelle Jeanmonod published the document, she wrote "PTP" in the filename:

Daniel Pocock, Irish-Swiss-Australian found the link between the dossier and the JuristGate scandal. He published the first detailed blog about the scandal.

Furthermore, partnering with a company that advertises beyond objective facts, in order to indirectly benefit from this advertising, could also pose problems with regard to professional rules (art. 12 let. d LLCA).

For these reasons, we therefore recommend that you do not respond to requests from Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners.

He has written a news report that feels like a paid advertisement.

He wrote "a legal services insurance unlimited for the private individuals and the small businesses" and later on "We are the only insurer to accept businesses marked like a risk, those who are most frequently rejected by the legal expenses insurance market".

Monsieur Bolleter does not ask any difficult questions. The journalists in Switzerland are afraid of criminal prosecution/persecution for writing any inconvenient truths.

If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.

Radio Lac is the third most popular radio station in the Lake Geneva region covering Switzerland and France.

The reception area includes all the lakeside cities of Geneva, Nyon, Morges, Lausanne, Vevey and Montreux as well as the cross-border regions.

The transmitter for the region of Geneva is actually situated on Mount Saléve, at the cable car station in French territory. The inhabitants of French cities Annemasse, Thonon, Evian, Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, Saint-Genis-Pouilly, Ferney-Voltaire, Gex and Divonne are in the reception area.

The jurists of Mathieu Parreaux published several documents about their legal insurance services for cross-border commuters and residents of France.

In our last blog we discovered that Monsieur Parreaux didn't pass the bar exam either in Switzerland or in France.

Le cabinet est jeune, comme la plupart des employés qui y travaillent. Son fondateur, Mathieu Parreaux, n’a pas encore passé son brevet d’avocat. Il donne pour le moment la priorité à son entreprise, les examens finaux seront pour plus tard. Fondé en 2017 et basé à Genève, le cabinet juridique semble évoluer rapidement. Récemment, dix juristes ont été embauchés. Au début de l’année, le cabinet a fusionné avec la société de services lausannois Thiébaud pour donner naissance au cabinet juridique Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners. «Cette entreprise était spécialisée dans les assurances, explique Mathieu Parreaux, nous avions de notre côté nos compétences propres en protection juridique. Notre rapprochement récent nous permet désormais d’être présents dans les deux domaines, sur les deux cantons.» Le cabinet juridique emploie aujourd’hui une vingtaine de personnes. Parmi les juristes, certains sont détenteurs du brevet d’avocat (six), d’autres non. Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners travaille également avec des avocats externes, indépendants, qui peuvent prendre le relai lorsque les juristes ne peuvent pas poursuivre la défense de leurs clients, par exemple lors d’un procès au tribunal pénal. «Le statut de juriste a beaucoup d’avantages mais il ne permet pas d’aller partout. Nous avons donc noué des partenariats avec une quinzaine de professionnels présents dans tous cantons romands, précise Mathieu Parreaux. A l’avenir, nous aimerions gagner toute la Suisse. Nous devons pour cela trouver les bons avocats et les bons juristes et les inciter à rejoindre notre structure. Toutefois, nous ne voulons pas grandir trop vite et souhaitons progresser intelligemment.» Un cabinet que se veut différent des autres Aujourd’hui, Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners, qui travaille aussi en lien avec des notaires, souhaite proposer des prestations juridiques larges et abordables. «C’est toute notre philosophie, s’enthousiasme le jeune entrepreneur, notre cabinet est une structure unique qui souhaite proposer à ses clients des prestations variées et un service client performant, le tout à un prix adapté.» Son fondateur est spécialisé en droit des contrats, droit fiscal et droit des sociétés. Il s’est entouré de spécialistes dans différents domaines. «Avec des compétences variées, nos conseillers peuvent répondre rapidement et efficacement à nos clients, explique Mathieu Parreaux. Ainsi, nous couvrons actuellement 44 domaines du droit.» Le cabinet propose donc conseils juridiques et conciliation. Les spécialistes rédigent tous types d’actes légaux pour les entreprises, des contrats de travail comme des conditions générales par exemple. Une permanence juridique privée est assurée. «Nous faisons tout pour anticiper et être proactifs, résume le fondateur, nous essayons de régler les différents en amont.» Une protection juridique sur abonnement Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners propose depuis quelques semaines une protection juridique, pour les particuliers comme pour les entreprises, sous forme d’abonnement. Pour un engagement d’une durée de 3, 5 ou 8 ans, une entreprise peut souscrire à Real-Protect. «Nous donnons des conseils oraux mais aussi écrits, précise Mathieu Parreaux, ce qui nous engage. De plus, notre conseil est illimité. Nous souhaitons être réellement là pour nos clients. Toujours avec un coût raisonnable.» «Le prix est ce qui m’a attiré en premier, avoue Jessy Kadimadio, client qui vient de lancer une régie immobilière et qui a fait appel au cabinet pour des rédactions de contrats, mais j’ai été par la suite agréablement surpris par leur disponibilité. J’ai aussi été séduit par le côté outsider de cette jeune société.»

When the Software Freedom Institute lodged requests for trademark protection in Switzerland, we made a demand for assistance with the legal assistance service at Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners.

We benefited from the advice of the jurist Luc Zimmermann.

Monsieur Zimmermann is a member of Le Centre, the same political party as Viola Amherd, Swiss president, former chief of the defence department.

June 2020: he was elected in the Geneva city council.

The Wayback Machine has captured images of the Justicia SA web site in the weeks before the legal insurer was shut down by FINMA, the Swiss financial regulator.

The site tells us they had 20,000 clients, 300 brokers reselling the insurance and 10,000 legal cases had been settled for their clients.

They do not tell us how many of those cases were settled in favor of the client.

The Swiss JuristGate scandal (the original blog about it) has caused an unreasonable interruption for my business, my clients and my family.

These are the invoices for the worthless Swiss legal insurance.

On the 2021 invoice, the company name is just Parreaux, Thiébaud & Partners. On the 2022 invoice, the company name has been changed to Justicia SA. Why did the name and corporate structure change?

The 2021 invoice is signed by the founder and managing partner, Mathieu Parreaux. Parreaux was a director of the new structure, Justicia SA. Why did Mathieu Parreaux put the name of a subordinate (Dos Reis Miguel) on the 2022 invoice?
